Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
Very good light peanut butter frosting. Delicious to eat. But I tried to use it for decorating a cake and it didn't work out well. It didn't take the color as I expected and wouldn't smooth like I wanted. But that could be my inexperience. But it tastes AMAZING!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Good recipe but needs some adjustments. I put the chicken in my crock put set it for 5 1/2hrs and then it turns to just keep warm. My chicken was very overcooked. I also think think that the sauce is too thick. I served it with whole wheat rotini and used some of my cooking water to thin the sauce. Next time I will cook it when I can be home to keep an eye on the chicken.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
I made this cheesecake with a few modifications suggested by SouthernBelle0908. I used 3 bricks of cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, and 1 cup of pumpkin. I made it with a graham cracker & ginger snap crust. I also baked it for an hour in a water bath at 350.I served it with a caramel drizzle and whipped cream. I thought it was pretty good.

Apple Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I made these muffins with a few substitutions based on other reviewers- used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1/2 of the oil for applesauce. I made them a little smaller since I was making them for nusery school. I should've reduced the cooking time a little.

Amazing recipe! This soup is delicious!!!! I used crushed tomatoes because I had forgotten to buy the whole. I used hot enchilada sauce and it has a nice spice to it. THANKS for an awesome & simple recipe.

Orange Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
A good idea, but I agree with another review stating that it doesn't really take on much orange flavor. Fine, but not great.

Fruit Pizza II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Delicious and very easy. I made it for fourth of July. So I used strawberries and blueberries to make a flag. I didn't use the glaze because I didn't think those fruits needed it. I will definetly make it again. It was GREAT!!! My husband loved it.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
Great pie, but really runny. Next time I make this I will do something to help thicken it up. I cut my rhubarb to 1/4" slices to help them cook up. It was delicious!!!! A great use for the rhubarb out in my garden. This was my 1st time ever cooking/baking with rhubarb. :0)

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
Good recipe if you don't overcook! I tried steaming them slightly before to make sure they weren't too hard. I then baked the at 400 for 20mins and broiled them for 3min. The result bacon wrapped around mushy asparagus! Don't make my mistake and overcook them. I also would consider wrapping multiple stems to make it a little healthier and a little less bacon taste. Beautiful presentation!

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
Very yummy, easy, and can make a beautiful presentation. I followed one suggestion and used mini chocolate bits. To make it pretty and extra yummy I added the Satiny Chocolate glaze and a confectionary sugar glaze, mini chocolate bits on top, and chocolate covered strawberries. I took it to a Women's Club meeting and it was a big hit and my husband also loved it! Great recipe and VERY easy! I will definetly make again.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Good recipe, I will modify. I made exactly as recipe indicated. I tripled the recipe and made one with whole wheat pasta. Good flavor but it makes a lot of fairly thin sauce. Next time I will add additional meat when I'm layering or more paste to the sauce. I also will use Provolone on top as I do with my family recipe. Great sauce! I had about 3/4 of a Gallon size freezer bag left over. Yummy!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
Delicious! Best french toast I've ever had. I used an Italian bread I bought from my grocery store bakery. I also used an electric griddle instead of a fry pan to make it faster. This will be the way I make my french toast from now on. Tasted just like restaurants french toast made with homemade bread. YUMMY!!! My 3yr old gobbled it up fast too.

Kids Favorite Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Very good meatloaf will definetly make again. Made with slight variations. I didn't have any onion powder so I used a small amount of diced onions. I also baked it in a regular size loaf pan and put the glaze on at the begining.Very yummy!!

Mary's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
Good recipe. I tried cooking potatoes in pan as someone else had suggested and I didn't notice any better flavor to them. I will definetly make this meatloaf again but increase the amount of glaze. It just barely covers the meatloaf and is really yummy. Reminds me of a good cocktail meatball.
