Raspberry Chocolate Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Everybody loved this. Added a little sugar to berries. Tried making mini tarts in mini muffin tins, didn't want to release from pan. Looked tragic but tasted great. Next time will make in a 9x9 or double crust in a larger pan.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
OK. it's New Years Day and with all the festivities I hadn't planned for todays tradition of beans...so I modified this to what I had on hand. I used Great Northern Beans and 1 lb of Sweet Italian Sausage. Added Italian Seasoning and used 6 c. chicken broth, 4 c. water and 4 tsp. boullion and an extra potato. It was great!!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
Loved it! My husband also liked it and is NOT a sweet potato fan. I used 1/2 brown 1/2 white sugar in the casserole and used Cream of Coconut since I was out of milk and reduced the amount a bit. Also reduced the butter a bit. Awesome!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
Great, made for a potluck and got many compliments. Used Lawry's chili seasoning since we couldn't find Williams, (as Deb noted in her review) and Med. Pace Picante. Next time will probably add fresh garlic. Great over a baked potato!!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
I loved this recipe!! So easy and great for a crowd. I used boneless thighs AND breasts, added garlic and a little chopped onion. Used homemade bbq sauce and italian dressing. Served on toasted HB buns with sliced red onion that I'd toned down by soaking in ice water. Very good and will make again for sure!!!

Low-Fat Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
I doubled this recipe based on reviews and was SO glad I did. I also sauteed onion, celery and carrot before adding potatoes, etc. Forgot the garlic, darn! So added some garlic salt and also tested a bowl with Thyme, which I loved!..but husband didn't, so stopped there. I did use my immersion blender a bit since I prefer a smoother soup. It's as good as a fattening soup!! A real keeper!!! Thank you!!!!

Chinese Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
Delicious and inexpensive meal when the pork is on sale. I also added Teriyaki and next time will cook down the sauce, to get a richer flavor. Great shredded and served over white rice with the thickened sauce.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This was okay with some added garlic, and MUCH better once I sprinkled some parmesan on top with extra salt/pepper. Wish I'd baked it that way. Very creamy without milk but doubt I'll make it again. Hubby didn't like it. I use a similar recipe for Sicilian style potatoes with capers that kicks!

Southwestern Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Very good!! I used 2 cans of cr. of mushroom, no cr. of chicken. Next time I'll decrease the sour cream or omit, start with a little of the soup mix before layering tortilla, increase the green chilies (or add a tad bit of jalapenos) and maybe even add some chopped onion. Would be great with chicken instead of turkey too!
