I have made this recipe too many times to count. I absolutely adore it. Of course, over time I have added my own flair to it. (1) I cut down the chicken amount to 2 breasts. (2) I poach the chicken alone in a saucepan. (3) I add all of the veg in my dutch oven and cook them until they are very tender in some butter and olive oil. (3) I double the sauce or liquid and add the flour and liquid right to the veg in the dutch oven. I bring it to a simmer and keep letting the flavors blend. (4) I use celery salt, celery seed, a tad bit of poultry seasoning, dill, onion powder, garlic powder---all to taste. (5) I use 2 deep dish pie crusts and fill each of them and then top them each with another pie crust to 'seal the deal'!!. PERFECT. They never last longer than a day. It is ALWAYS gone.
