Quick and Spicy Chili

Great spicy comfort-food chili! I did not use the habanero because I like spicy, not mind numbing hot and I did not add the corn because it does not belong in chili. Otherwise, this is a great easy chili that I have already made 4 times! I used the leftovers for chili cheese burgers with tangy slaw and they were great!

Wonderful Short Ribs

Incredible!! I did add a tablespoon of minced garlic and I cooked them in the slow cooker for 4 hours (had to leave and couldn't watch them on the stove). They were SO good served with pasta!

Coconut-Raisin Rice Pudding

Delicious! This was rich, creamy and a great twist on traditional rice pudding. I added twice the amount of coconut, half in the pudding itself and the other half on top like the recipe calls for.I will make this again!

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

The best apple pie...ever. I used refrigerated pie crusts on the top and bottom, poured the sauce over the apples and just cut slits in the top.

Fudgy, gooey, deliciousness! These are the best brownies! I'll never buy a boxed mix again!! Followed recipe exactly except i used a disposable pan so i only cooked them for 35 minutes.

Yellow Squash Dressing

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Delicious!!! I was surprised at the authentic taste with out a roux. I did make a few changes but nothing that would change the integrity of the recipe. I added minced garlic and 2 bay leaves since all good Cajun foods have both. I didn't have any celery so I left it out and really didn't miss it. I will be making this again and again!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

These were different...I still gave them 4 stars because I can see how others would like them. The texture was great; however, I did not care for the burnt taste and even though I used about 1/2 of the salt the recipe called for I still thought they were quite salty.

Breaded Pork Chops

Definitely a good base for fried pork loin chops. I added some cayenne pepper for spice and some garlic and onion powder. I also added a little milk to the egg mixture. They turned out moist and juicy.
