Lemon Square Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
Fabulous! I was skeptical because I've made Lemon Bars before and it was a complete disaster. I followed the recipe exactly and I got beautiful results. Thanks RCOMP :)

Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
Perfect! I used some soft gala apples and added a handful of oats to the topping mixture. I set the slow cooker to high for 2 hours, however I read the reviews and ended up taking the top off after an hour and 20 minutes. The topping was perfectly crumbly and crispy. Thank you for the submission. It's a keeper!

Butter Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
I've been a vegetarian for 13+ years. Of course I've tried EVERY bean and veggie burger there is. I have to say this is my favorite. It has a subtle flavor with a mild kick from the jalepenos. I was able to get 6 small burgers from the batch so I had to hide them from myself as not to eat them in one day. This has become a regular in my diet. Thank You for sharing Silverwolf!

Snickerdoodle Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
WOW! I thought it looked a little dry as it was coming from the oven. I let it cool (barely) and took a bite. YUMMY! This cake does taste just like the cookie only fluffier. It was moist, light and tasty and as I stood there eating slice after slice, I began to think of what else I could pair with it. It's great with strawberries and a cold glass of soymilk. Next time I'll try making homemade whipping cream to serve along with. Peaches, berries or as is this cake is great. Thanks for the submission!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2009
This is definitely a keeper. Don't look any further... I had an artichoke dip at a friends baby shower about 5 years ago. It was fabulous. When I got home, I searched and searched for the perfect recipe.. THIS IS IT! I've been making this dip for 5 years and I've followed the exact recipe, I've omitted mayo or basil or both, added red bell pepper more garlic etc. It still turns out wonderful every time. I do mix the mozzarella in and sprinkle a mixture of both parmesan and mozzarella on top. The only problem with this dip is I can't stop eating it.

Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
This recipe is a keeper! I've been making crepes as long as I can remember. My mother used to make them for me as a child and I had to learn how to make them for my family. This recipe reminds me of my childhood. My husband (who claims he doesn't like sweets) loves these crepes. To finish these off I spread blackberry jam and use real whipping cream on top. They are also tasty when filled with the blintz mixture. Delicious! and DANGEROUS :)

Home Style Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
I've been making this recipe for at least 5 years and it never disappoints. My picky husband requests it every Thanksgiving and Christmas and sometimes Easter. I'm more of a baker, (cookies, cakes, etc., however this recipe is so simple, I don't mind making it for my family. The Dijon mustard gives it an extra kick. This is definitely a keeper.

Applesauce Drop Doughnuts

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
Tasty! I've used other doughnut recipes on this site and they seemed to be a little bland. I'm so happy I found this one. These had just the right amounts of cinnamon and nutmeg. As suggested previously, be sure to keep the drops very small. I rolled them in powdered sugar and cinnamon. An awesome treat highly recommended!
