Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
These were absoulutley delicious! I marinated my chicken and mushrooms overnight making them both very flavorful! I also added cherry tomatos to the center of the kabobs for some color and some jalapeno peppers for some spice! They were a great hit at my BBq and I will make these again for sure!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
These pork chops had a great flavor, I used low sodium soy sauce to avoid an over powering saltiness. Like any other meat I make, I marinated it over night. Unfortunately mine came out overcooked even though I only cooked them for a little over 30 minutes. I should have listened to other reviews that warned about this. Next time I will check the meat at 25 minutes to avoid this problem. But I will definately be making these again.

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
Great potatoes, my boyfriend liked them better than his favorite restaurant mached potatos. Like many others I roasted the garlic before I added it to the potatos. Thanks for the great recipie!

Enchiladas Suizas

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
These were amazing. I just warmed up the tortillas in the Microwave to avoid extra calories. Then, when all was said and done I realized I forgot to add the heavy cream before putting into the oven. They still came out absolutely delicious! Next time I make them I will try adding the cream, but I think overall I would like to skip that part just to lower the calories. Great sauce! We topped ours with sour cream, green onions and the green olives as well. The Olives were a little over powering so I only used a few. Thanks alot for this great recipe!

Mexican Rice III

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
Absolutely amazing! I liked it better than the rice i get at my favorite mexican restaurant. The only thing I skipped was the jalapenos because some of out guests don't like spicy food. Still amazing I can't wait to try it with the jalapenos next time for the extra flavor.

Almond-Crusted Tilapia

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
These were very good but when i was pan frying mine the breading would not stick to the fish. It kept peeling off and sticking to the pan. I would say about half of the breading stuck to pan and the other half stayed on the fish. I'm not sure how to prevent this problem. I followed the directions in the recipe exactly. Despite this minor setback the fish had a wonderful flavor, which is suprising since Tilapia is a very mild fish. The breading tasted wonderful too, we just had to scrape some of it off the bottom of the pan and use it kind of like a garnish. I squeezed lots of frsh lemon juice over my fish and it tasted excellente!!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
An interesting marinade with the ranch dressing, I added extra lemon to mine. I made extra so I could marinade fresh vegetables. I mixed the chicken and the veggies on the skewers and they came out great.

Blueberry Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
This cake good, nothing outstanding. I must say, the strusel on top was very tasty. My only problem with this recipie is that the cake came out very dry. Maybe a dry cake is pretty standard for a coffee cake, I don't know this was my first attempt at making one. Although I really enjoyed the cake with the fresh blueberries inside, I think I will try a different recipie next time.

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
These were good but extremely rich. Although the soup mixture made of cream of chicken, sour cream and chili power was tasty, it was also thick and too creamy. It was okay mixed in with the chicken and onions but only a little bit. It definitely didn't need the layer on the bottom of the baking dish. I will try these again but with only a touch of sauce.

Baked Potato Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I made a huge batch of this for a house party, the bowl was practically licked clean by the end of the night. This recipe is simple and very tasty. I would recommend using real bacon. I just threw it all in the oven and then crumbled it after it was nice and crispy. I will be making this again for sure.

Crab-Stuffed Filet Mignon with Whiskey Peppercorn Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
This rating is for the sauce alone, very creamy and complements the streak well. I served it with filet mignon but did not follow this recipe with the crab stuffing, sounds good though.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
I couldn't believe was able to make something that tasted that good so easily! I would highly encourage readers to try this out. I used half and half instead of heavy cream and thickened the soup up with around tablespoon of cornstarch. I also like almost all other reviewers used kale instead of spinach. You can adjust the spiciness to your liking with the red peppers and add other ingredients such as mushrooms, zucchini or other veggies. Enjoy!!!

Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
This was my first attempt at making chili and it came out great. And it was super easy to make, just throw everything in a big pot. The best part is there is a lot of room to make the recipe your own, I added a packet of chili seasoning, a can of black beans, kidney beans and corn. I think the turkey meat was very good, you will never miss the more fatty ground beef.

French Toast Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
As I put the bread that had been soaking overnight into the oven I was worried about how this would come out, but I couldn't have asked for better results. Mine took quite a bit longer than the time indicted in the recipe but I think that was a combination of the oven I was using and the fact that I tripled the recipe for a large group. The top was nice and crispy and the bottom was soft and gooey. I served with maple syrup and everyone loved it.
