Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2011
I am a seafood lover. I have been looking for recipes that can vary the taste of seafood. This recipe is very good. I always have tilapia on hand. It is a quick and easy recipe for any day of the week. This dish will be part of my weekly menu.

Sherry's Wild West Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
Very good soup. I omitted the salt because chicken broth has enough salt in it. I added garlic powder and in addition to the white beans, I added a can of black beans to get more protein.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
This recipe is a keeper. My family enjoyed it. I followed the recipe with only minor changes. I used two bags of fresh spinach and 2% milk instead of half and half. I took the advice of another reviewer and cut the chicken into bite size pieces and sauted in bacon drippings. I added the spinach and the other ingredients and cooked on low for 10 minutes. I poured the mixture into a pan. Sprinkled with bacon bits and cheese and baked for 25 minutes. I served on top of our favorite pasta with parmesan sprinkled on top.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
These cookies were so easy to make. My family and friends loved them. I will make these over and over again. I do not like raspberries due to the tiny seeds so I used strawberry jam instead. I added chopped pecans to the cookie dough. The cookies were much better than the Pepperidge Farm version.

Jalapeno Garlic Tilapia Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
OMG! This dish was delicious! Thank you for sharing. I did not have heavy whipping cream on hand so I used half and half. I did not use tomatos because my family does not eat them. Those minor changes did not affect the outcome. After I served it up, we sprinkle it with parmesan cheese. My family of four enjoyed it. My eldest daughter told me to remember to post a comment. My husband who does not like spinach loved it. This will be a family favorite for sure.

Butterscotch Blondies

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
I was a little apprehensive about this recipe, because it wasn't completely from scratch. I am soooooo GLAD I tried it. The brownies are so moist and gooey. My oldest daughter does not like butterscotch and she loved these brownies. I did not have pecans so I used roasted walnuts. Next time I make these I will use pecans.

Cinnamon Coffee Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
I love this frosting. I used it on a chocolate cake. It was very good. I took the advice of another reviewer and dissolved the coffee first and added milk as needed. Will make this over and over again.

Ranch Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
We were having crawfish today and I was looking for a dipping sauce that would compliment the meal. I found this recipe and was surprised to know I had all of the ingredients on hand. I made it exactly as stated, but added cayenne pepper and 4 dashes of hot sauce. It was very good. I will use it as a dipping sauce for crawfish, hot wings and veggies in the future. Thank you!

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
I have found my new favorite recipe. I always fried scallops, but never could duplicate the restaurant taste. This recipe is so good. I will no longer fry any seafood. I will use this recipe on fish and shrimp as well.

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
I really like this recipe. It has a good flavor. I will only change one thing. I will use half of the tomato paste. I baked ribs in the oven today and the sauce was much better than store bought. I will make it again and again.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
My family could not get enough of these potatos. I only made a small batch for lunch and was sorry I did not make more. I did not use the chili powder or much butter, but did sprinkle with bacon bits and topped with sour cream. I will make a full batch for dinner tonight. Thanks for the recipe.

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I gave this a 4 star review. The cake is very good, but much too sweet for me and I am a lover of anything sweet. Next time I will use only 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I set the timer for 50 minutes because other reviewers said it was not baked completely in 40 minutes. I took my cake out and it still had runny cake batter in the center. I put the cake back in the oven and baked a total of 60 minutes. Overall this is a good cake. Will bake again.

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
This was the best meal. My family of 4 truly enjoyed this dish. I only omitted the pimentos because I do not like them. I doubled the sauce recipe and added fresh chopped garlic and red pepper flakes. I cooked chicken tenderloins in 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Instead of milk, I used an egg to keep the coating on the chicken. I will make this again and again. I can't wait to have a dinner party. I am sure to impress my guest with this dish.

Jambalasta

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Very Good! My family enjoyed this pasta dish. I only made minor changes. I used rotel tomatos for spice and omitted the hot sauce and onion. I used Texjoy's sausage seasoning and steak seasoning, garlic powder and italian seasoning. I also used corkscrew pasta. The shrimp was added at the last minute as well so that they would not overcook.

Cajun Catfish Supreme

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
I was looking for a catfish recipe and found this one last night. I went out to purchase the ingredients that I did not have in the house and made it today. I did not use green onion or the blackened seasoning. I used seafood seasoning instead. I also used dried parsley and added a can of rotel for some spice. OMG!!! It was sooooo good. I will make this time and time again.

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I made this as a side for my Thanksgiving meal. My family loved it. I modified the recipe a bit. I used only sharp, mild and velvetta. I omitted the eggs and used heavy whipping cream and carnation milk. It was so creamy and not too cheesy. We will never eat boxed macaroni and cheese again.
