Mom's Country Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2014
Really yummy. I added a pound of chicken sausage. First crumbled and cooked the sausage, then added the butter (instead of oil) until melted. Make sure you cook the flour mixture after you add it. Just let it bubble and brown for a few minutes so you avoid the flour taste.

Simple Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2014
Really good but too much salt! I doubled the recipe and used only 1/4 tsp of salt for the whole thing. I used white wine vinegar and double the celery and onion very finely minced. The celery adds such a nice crunch and flavor. My family went nuts for these! Definitely a keeper.

Overnight French Toast II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
Followed this recipe exactly (other than sprinkling the top with cinnamon) as it was the first time I'd made it. It was a huge hit with my family and guests. I used King's Hawaiian bread cut into 1 inch slices and it was fabulous. The center of the bread was very soft, but I wouldn't call it soggy. It soaked for about eight hours prior to baking. As some others suggested, I inverted it straight out of the oven onto a serving platter and it looked beautiful. Super easy to make. I think this will become a Christmas morning tradition.

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
Absolutely awesome! Very easy to make and fabulous! Used a large jelly roll pan lined with parchment paper and clean up was a breeze. Used butter instead of margerine and half brown sugar, half white sugar in the filling. Other than that, followed the recipe. This is the first of many times I'll be making these.

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
Super simple and delicious. I made this for a neighborhood brunch and it disappeared and tons of people asked me for the recipe. I agree the salt is a bit to much. I use half the amount and it is great (and I like salt). I've also used ready made frozen crusts and it works great. Usually just need to increase the baking time by 10 minutes or so. This has become a dinner favorite. Add a green salad and dinner is done! Enjoy!
