Whoopie Pies VII

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
These taste just like the ones I would buy from the Menonites that live in my area. Not too sweet but just perfect. I only made a half batch of the cookie part but I used the full batch of the filling. I will absolutely make these again and again.

Soft Giant Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
These were fantastic. The dough was definitely way to sticky but I just added some extra flour and it was no problem. I made them into sticks instead of the usual shape and they are delicious. I'm going to make a cheese sauce to go with them (If I can stop eating the plain ones).

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This worked out great. Probably one of the best sausage gravies I have made. I used regular sausage instead of the maple flavored and it tasted great.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
I trimmed this recipe down to make just 6 muffins and it said to add only a 1/2 of an egg but I still added to whole thing and these muffins came out amazing. My son and I ate all of them in 2 days. I think that the people who have had problems with these just add an extra egg to the full batch and that might help out a little bit.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
Fantiastic shortbread cookies. I didn't add the almond extract and they still worked perfectly. No unruly jelly or anything. I will absolutely make these cookies again and again.

Grandpa's Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
These were absolutely wonderful. They tasted like crunch and munch without the nuts. The one bad thing is that I was making them with my 5 year old niece and they were way too hot for her to form into balls. They were also very very hard for her to eat. We ended up smashing up the balls into pieces which worked out very well. Delicioud recipe though and I will definitely make them again.
