About this Cook
I love to cook, and I love to eat, but I'm a picky eater, so I love to make food that I'll like to eat. Cooking is my relaxation and challenge. I miss having a grill, but one day we'll live in a house where I can garden, grill and have my own kitchen :)
My favorite things to cook
If I'm cooking for more than 3 people, I'm thrilled!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We all love food, and we make good food. I have my grandmother's cook book and stock pot, and frequently call the other one for advice! Even my mother in law as well, she gives me taste of home magazine for Christmas every year!
My cooking triumphs
I made perfect meringue my first time! I was so shocked! I was also trying very hard to do it right and researched before trying it. (and kept calling my mom throughout the process!)
My cooking tragedies
Bread:4, me: 1.

Faux Pesto
Loved it! Made as written. I think next time I'll add some fresh red peppers to give it some zing. I also hate overwhelming basil and dislike pine nuts, so this was PERFECT.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style
LOVE this recipe. I too do a whole package of cream cheese, but when I triple it I do 2 packages not three. Also, I use frozen spinach, but I thaw it, squeeze out extra water, and then chop it. I use the minced garlic from a jar, and always add in more than I need, and a little garlic powder too. Also, I always go overboard on the cheese :) Maybe I'm just from Wisconsin, but I add always more cheese. I also have done it with roasted garlic alfredo sauce, and the four cheese alfredo sauce. It is famous amongst my family now, and it's what I bring to holidays!
