Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
Yum! I added a splash of pasta water to thin the sauce out a little, and added chopped sun dried tomato, which made it all look nice and pink. Topped it all off with sliced chives. Thank you for sharing!

Margarita Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
Delish! I followed the recipe exactly, except I didn't skewer and grill them. Instead, after marinating for a while, I took out the shrimp, brought the marinade to a boil and then added the shrimp. They cooked up in about 30 seconds! I served it over garlic bread to sop up the delicious broth. I will make this again and again, thank you Jenny for sharing!

Lebanese Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
I think this is a good starter recipe, but a little too bland for my taste, so I used 2 chx breasts, two yukon gold potatoes sliced thin, only a 1/4 cup of oil, the juice of three small lemons, and some sliced onion and garlic. In a small bowl I combined the oil, a scoop of dijon mustard and some oregano and salt and pepper and poured over the chx. Omg, so yummy and healthy to boot! Even better the next day cold. Thank you for the recipe!

Tart Grapefruit Cooler

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
This is great. We make this in a big cooler with a spigget when we have company, only we leave out the sugar and add vodka and fresh limes. Everyone loves it!

French Pork Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
I gave this just 4 stars because we never added walnuts. My grandfather was from Canada and he made this every year for the holidays. Instead of saltine crackers, we add a package pf Pepperidge Farm stuffing, an egg and a can of beef consume before putting it in the oven. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Ron. I think I'll try the walnuts this year!

Tourtiers (French Pork Pie)

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
Ii only gave this 4 stars because I think the celery is a little out of place. My grandfather from Quebec used to make these for the holidays and every year we think of him while making it (it is a labor of love as it does take a long time). As for the naysayers here, I think it's just an aquired taste. If you didn't grow up with these unique flavors filling your kitchen you may not like it. Thank you for sharing this recipe, we just love it!

Excellent! I added a half onion and chooped mushrooms which I sauteed first. I meant to add some tobasco sauce but forgot - it tasted just great without it. Thanks for sharing a simple yet crowd pleasing casserole!

Bacon and Swiss Quiche

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
I made it this morning. I omitted the crust and just used a pie plate sprayed with Pam. I used cubed cheddar and spinkled a little green onion on top. Excellent! Don't forget to add the mustard - so good! Thanks for sharing.

Sausage-Stuffed Eggplant

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2010
Yummo! I used hot italian turkey sausage, and added garlic and onion while frying it up. Also used 2% mozz cheese. My husband, who is not a big fan of eggplant, just loved it and asked me to add it to the dinner rotaion. Thanks for sharing!

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
The meatballs tasted really good on thier own, but I thought the sauce tasted too much like ketchup. Thankfully, I haven't added the meatballs to the sauce yet, and I'm going to search for another sauce on the website.

Tempeh Reuben

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
The Natural Foods store in my neighborhood sells "bacon"flavored tempeh - it's sooo good! If you can find that variety I recommend using that in place of plain tempeh. And try it in place of real bacon on BLT's. Yum.

Grilled Gyro Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
Like others, I couldn't keep them from falling apart, so I just scrambled the meat mixture in a fry pan. I also added more seasoning since they were a little bland. The side sauce was good though. I put the cukes through the fdood processor to make it more smooth. Served with tator tots, so not a total loss.

Easy Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Delicious! I use Pilsbury refrigerated thin crust pizza dough for simplicity. I just unroll it onto a greased baking sheet, sprinkle it with mozz cheese, lay the pepperoni on top, and then another layer of cheese. I roll it all up into a log, then bring the ends together to make a "ring". Seal all the edges well with water or the filling will leak! I finish with the egg wash, sprinkle of italian seasoning and grated parm. cheese. The presentation is so pretty I like to serve it to company. And it tastes awesome, too! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Easy Honey Mustard Mozzarella Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
Yum! This was so easy, and using pantry ingredients it was very economical. I didn't think the ingredient list sounded very appetizing, but it turned out delish! I used Purdue thin sliced chx breasts, layered them slightly on top of eachother, brushed them with honey mustard, sprinkled with lemon pepper, then sprinkled jarred bacon bits. Baked in a 350 oven for 20 minutes, then topped with a shredded mixture of cheeses and turned the oven up to 425. Baked until the top was browned and bubbly. Definitely a keeper in our house! Thank you for the recipe!

Sauerbraten Klopse (Sauerbraten Meatballs)

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
These were very good! I doubled the amount of cloves and allspice, baked the meatballs (425 for 15 minutes) and thickened the sauce with crushed gingersnaps. Served over egg noodles. Hubby didn't care for this meal, but he is hard to please. I thought it was great! Thank you!

Homemade Butter

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
So easy and fun! When I was a child in school, the teacher poured cream into an empty cool whip container. She sealed the lid and handed it to the first child and intructed each of us to shake the bowl vigorously. By the time the last child (about 25th) handled it, it was completely solid. It was such a fun and delicious learning experience!

Creamy Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
I thought this was ok. Kind of bland tasting so before it went into the casserole dish I added a few dashes of both hot sauce and chili powder. Instead of the bread crumbs I used french's french fried onions. It's a good way of using up ingredients I usually have on hand.

Mom's Best Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
Really great recipe. I didn't add the sugar because the sweetened milk is enough. I added a little pickle juice to offset the sweetness, and it came out perfect. Guests wanted the recipe!
