Creamy Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
I make this all the time and it always turns out great. It is light and fluffy and not to sweet or rich. I add cocoa powder for chocolate frosting and I have made it with dark brown sugar in place of the regular sugar and it was awesome on a plain white cake or a banana cake. I recommend you try it, but follow the recipe exactly the first time and then add your own touches to change it up. This is my go to recipe for frosting.

I made these exactly by the recipe and they were great. I am going to play around with different flavors now. I am going to try chocolate pudding and mint chocolate chips next.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
This is a great recipe. I have been searching for a recipe like this forever. Two hints though. I use ONLY real butter. Use 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup white sugar instead of what the recipe calls for. I have used several different combinations of chips and add nuts. I used milk chocolate, semi-sweet, and white chocolate with walnuts. I have used peanutbutter chips with milk chocolate chips and I used mint chocolate chips. All were great.I also make them small instead of large. Oh and it is VERY important to chill the dough before baking them.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2012
Great find! My family loves peanut butter and I was looking for a new way to use it in dessert. This is s great way to change up the same old boring brownies! I mixed by hand just until well combined and I made the following adjustments: I put the butter and peanut butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds to make it soft . I used Splenda in place of sugar and only baked for about 20 minutes. I topped mine with an icing as follows: 1 tablespoon softened butter 4 tablespoons peanut butter 1 tablespoon milk 2 tablespoons honey 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Mix all together by hand and pour over warm (not hot) brownies.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2014
Honestly I didn't have high expectations for the outcome of this, but only because of its simplicity. It was delicious! I didn't make any adjustments at all. I served it with Spanish rice a green salad. It's a super easy and quick weeknight dinner.

Mountain Dew™ Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2014
I made this today and made some changes due to what I had on hand and because I needed to make it sugar free. I used a sugar free yellow cake mix and sugar free vanilla pudding with diet Mountain Dew. I baked it in a bunt pan and left off the topping and jus sprinkled it with a little powdered sugar after it was cooled. It was fantastic!!! Very moist and so easy...... Will be great with a cup of coffee for breakfast .

Sugar-Free Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2012
When I made this I was trying to do it by memory and forgot to use milk and it turned out great. I used a sugar free cake mix and I used the Chocolate fudge sugar free jello pudding and the sugar free Cool whip so it was certainly sugar free. I added about 2 tablespoons of sour cream and about 2 tablespoons of splenda. I had many requests for the recipe. The consistancy was thick and creamy and would be a great consistancy for piping. With all of the flavor choices of sugar free pudding now the flavor combinations are endless. FYI Pillsbury now makes a sugar free cake mix in yellow and chocolate however the sugar free frosting in a can is discusting (but I dont like can frosting).
