Good Ol' Alabama Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
i wanted to drop a helpful hint in regards to the reviewer that cracked two pitchers with hot tea.i do not remember who told me this i just remember after cracking my first tea pitcher so many years ago, someone told me to put a butter knife into the pitcher before pouring in the hot tea. the metal attracts the heat and keeps it from cracking the glass.and i have not cracked one since. hope this helps yall too.

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
hey folks, use your imagination thats what jessica did when she set out to make a simpler recipe for beef stroganoff. i for one am very happy she shared. so a little more flavor is all we need here,i added onions and minced garlic to my ground beef while browning along with the usual salt, pepper, accent and lawry's seasoning which by the way i add to everthing i cook from meats and veg. to pasta. only used one can mushroom soup and 1/2 cup sour cream with 8oz.of egg noodles. oh,almost forgot i added some frozen peas and carrots to hamburger mix. all in one dish, and we all liked it's easy and satisfying outcome. thanks jessica.

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
only giving this one a 3 because my inlaws loved it. i wanted to make a pasta salad that was different from the norm this fit the bill. i tasted it b/f the dressing and it wasn't bad, really dry but not bad. put dr. on when served. my mom, husband and self really could not eat it. thank goodness the inlaws liked. they were happy to take leftovers home. and that was good because it was some what exspensive to make.thanks anyway for some good ingrediant ideas with a really different dressing i might try it again.

Get a Husband Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
first time i made this i followed the recipe almost exactly. meaning i think i might have thrown in afew of my fave's like seasonings i mean, but other than that. and it was a great meal. the second time i changed the meat to beef stew meat instead of hamburger and chunk pork meat instead of ground, per some reviews. but you know what they say "if it aint broke don't fix it". this was excellant as written. for sure a keeper. i will make this again no doubt. if your having doubts about this one i say you should try it you won't be disappointed. thanks much for this one.

Southern Grits Casserole

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
oh my gracious. i have eaten cheese grits w/pan suage and eggs my whole life all on the same plate even mixed them together on my plate but never thought of putting them all together in the same pot. i also skipped the oven part. just cooked the grits as usual added cheese cooked eggs and s. separately added to grits poured all in slow cooker turned it on low stayed hot for hours. we don't always all eat at the same time around here on saturday nites. this was the perfect meal for us. we all loved this recipe.we will have this again and again.and your right cold grits is not good, but you've made that a non issue, thanks. i loved all the compliments i recieved.i would love to give this many more stars. thanks for this recipe.
