Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
If I could give this more stars than 5, I would. Best banana bread I've ever had! I make this recipe any time I can think of an excuse to make it!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
The fresh blueberries make this recipe amazing! I've made them a couple of times now and always get great reviews. I use buttermilk (and a little more than a third of a cup) and I only use a little brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping. still can't figure out how to make it "crumble" with the butter. Can't wait to try this with other fruits! Thanks!

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
these were pretty good, though I'm not a chocolate lover so it's hard for me to rate it. I think it had too many chocolate chips though i'm interested to get input from others on that. I will definitely add a little more milk the next time I make them because they were a little dry. they were good, just not my cup of tea.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
Yum! I added just a little more milk (about 1/2 of the 1/3 cup). I also only used sugar/brown sugar/cinnamon for the topping. Awesome muffins. I'll be making these again and again.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2010
These were a big hit and a nice change of pace from the normal chocolate or vanilla cupcakes. My icing came out a little runny, but i'm pretty sure that was user error. I'll be sure to beat them a little extra time the next time I make these . . . which will be soon!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
definately needed more salt, but that may have been due to the low sodium broth that I used. Easy prep though, and it was great coming home to a ready to eat dinner.

Chipotle Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
This was great! I loved the chipotle flavoring. The only thing I added was some sour cream on top and an extra can of black beans. Next time I won't use as much onion. It was a little too much for my taste. I'll be making this again and again. Thanks!

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
I added the extra 1/2 cup of flour and 1 tsp baking powder and only 1 egg. I think the pan I used was too small though. When it was that thick I didn't care too much for the taste. Next time I'll use a bigger pan and add a little more seasoning. Great basics though, I'll keep working with it.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
this was really really dry and it didn't have a whole lot of taste. it reminded me of beer bread without that sweet flavor it gives. it maybe was supposed to be like that, but i didn't really care for it.

Irish Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
I won an Irish Stew cook-off with this recipe. I did add celery and guniess (28oz) instead of wine, and I doubled everything but the meat. Also only did about 1/2 the onion, it just seemed like it would be too much otherwise. Lamb was REALLY expensive. I'll have to try another meat the next time I make it.

Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
not bad. i used fresh mushrooms and cream of mushroom soup instead of beef broth. i also didn't have any mustard powder. maybe that was the problem. it was lacking in flavor. great starting point though. i'll play around with seasonings when i make it again.

Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
i also used ricotta cheese instead of cottage. this was very good but needed more seasoning. next time i'll use an italian sausage, something with a little more kick to it. i'll also try to use fresh rosemary and add basil.
