Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
This recipe was a good basic start to parmesan chicken success. I agree completely with previous review entries where thin chicken is best. In the future, I'd like to try this recipe with chicken tenders and pair with a yummy sauce.

Salisbury Steak

Simple to make and EASY to eat! Great flavor, moist meat, and if you can make more gravy, perfect to pair with mashed potatoes or rice. Will definitely make again!

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
I followed this recipe exactly and loved the end result! Chicken was moist, flavorful, and the sauce was the perfect touch to dress up pan fried chicken a little. Dijon mustard was a nice touch; in the future I might not even buy fresh tarragon from the store to simplify matters.

Steak House Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
This recipe is a great start to au gratin potatoes though I didn't get exactly the texture of potato I was hoping for. I do like how the potatoes held up for leftovers and will likely use this recipe again as a base to explore more ideas in the future.

Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
This is a recipe I will definitely use again to make dessert with the peaches from my backyard. I learned that peaches peel easily once boiled for 30 seconds or so. I also loved the suggestion to use both white and brown sugar. Yum!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
Easy and fast! Since I am one of the few out there with no microwave, I made this dip in the crock pot and LOVED the end result. At our dinner party, guests couldn't believe how few ingredients there were because the flavor was rich and complex. I will definitely make this again.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
This was a yummy addition to a sunday afternoon bbq. Though everyone loved the cornbread, in the future, I'd definitely use a smaller pan to be able cut off fat squares of cornbread instead of wider, flatter pieces.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
This was fantastic! I followed the advice below and let the "broth" cook longer than indicated in the recipe; after such a delicious meal, I'm not sure I'd try it any other way. We ate our chicken over rice, which absorbed the sauce (there was a good amount.) Garnished with shredded coconut, this is something I will make again soon.

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
Because I like to use my george foreman grill to cook chicken, I substituted chicken broth for water and added the cooked, chopped chicken to the mix. Perhaps this step saved some time. As other reviewers did, I followed the "Dumpling" recipe available on allrecipes and made my own instead of going store bought. This was a fabulous decision as the meal was cozy, delicious, and an instant favorite.

Fabulous texture, fluffy and light! Delicious in soup, stew, or with gravy. I'll definitely make this simple recipe again.

Larra's Baked Spiced Apples and Oranges

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
This was a surprising blend of flavors in our mouths and was yummy fresh out of the oven. If I decide to try this one again, I would omit the oranges as the texture is a bit funny and replace with more apples or maybe pears. The recipe didn't "re-warm" well.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I used a george foreman grill to quickly cook the chicken breasts instead of baking which saves time and ensures that juicy chicken breasts are served. Cheese lovers will delight in this recipe. I served it with pasta thought I'd like to try it with brown rice next time. I'll definitely try this again.

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I wish I would have read Elli's review before starting out as my chops were on the dry side; however, I will try this recipe again as the flavors are tangy and delicious and it is a great one pan recipe that goes well with mac and cheese (who doesn't love homemade mac n cheese?)

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Truly amazing! The flavors "pop" and the chicken is both crispy (on the outside) and juicy (on the inside.) Be sure to use a thermometer to check your temperature as the exterior appearance of the chicken will make you believe the chicken is farther along than it really is. I took the suggestion of other recipe users and was generous with the spices and covered every square inch of the chicken. You will not be disappointed!

Apple Butter Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2009
This is a lovely, savory, and unique combination of flavors. If using a tenderloin, it is imperative that you match the weight of your tenderloin to traditional cook times. There is a previous review that explains the pork cuts well that I found informative. Enjoy this moist and tender pork with cheesy mashed potatoes and follow with apple pie a la mode. Delicious!
