About this Cook
I have been cooking since I was a kid in my mom's kitchen. My mother is a terrible cook but I used her red and white checked Betty Crocker as my cooking bible. As a kid I learned how to read recipes and experimented a lot with new ones. When I got married 20 years ago, I was a mediocore cook but the more time I spend in the kitchen, the more successful I have become. I love to try new recipes and love to cook good food for my family of six. I like to experiment with recipes and use my experiences to improve the quality and taste of food.
My favorite things to cook
I mostly love to bake. It's so homey and Martha Stuart! My family loves to eat so they never complain!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to prepare traditional comfort foods and serve it at the dining room table with a presentation. I usually host large family get-togethers ( we have a very large family) and usually have a theme with the table set in a nice presentation. My family eats together at our dining room table nearly every night which has become a tradition in our home in the last few years. It's awesome to sit with my 4 teenagers each night and share our day over a wonderful home cooked meal.

Beefy Baked Ziti
this was just OK. I added fresh minced garlic, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning to give it something. Still very bland.

Mexican Chicken Soup
This soup is excellent! I used 2 lefover broiled boneless chicken breasts, added the taco seasoning to the chicken broth and tomato and added a handful of white rice and some white beans. Hubby and I both loved it! This is a nice hearty soup that is not too spicy. I will be making this again!
