Easy Pumpkin Cream Trifle

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
It was great and looked beautiful in my Pampered Chef trifle dish. A big hit! I did take the suggestions of adding cream cheese, caramel and I omited the toffee since my store didn't have it. I also used carrot cake mix which turned out wonderful and you could not tell that it was carrot cake. WARNING! Read instructions before beginning. This seems obvious but I started baking the cake and then realized I was supposed to add pumpkin, etc to mix. Hopefully most people read instuctions before beginning a recipe unlike me!

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
I made this recipe just as it said. It turned out pretty good. My husband loved it. I thought it was pretty good. The flavors in the soup were delicious. My only problem was the beef had a funny texture and I think it is just because I bought the beef with the lowest fat.

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
I cooked the chicken in some soy sauce and shredded it. That gave it a lot more flavor. I also added mandrin oranges. I think it would have been pretty bland without those additions.

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
SOOOOO good! I reviewed this before but wanted to give an update now that I have made it many times. I now use 2 lbs ground turkey and it tastes just as good as with beef and way more healthy. I also use 2 Tablespoons powdered chocolate instead of what it calls for. I also top it with sour cream, chopped seeded jalepenos, shredded cheddar, and chopped yellow onions. One of my favorite recipes from this website.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
This had such a wonderful flavor. I thought I had condensed beef broth but did not so I had to use condensed chicken broth. I was really worried but the flavor was delicious! My 18 month old even loved this and kept asking for more!

This was so good! And so easy!! I loved that it had just a few ingredients that everyone likes. I made it the night before we celebrated Christmas and it was really easy to stick in the oven while we were opening presents. SO DELICIOUS!

Apple Cranberry Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
This was SOOOOOOOOOO good! I used golden raisins instead of cranberries because I had them on hand. Also used fiji apples because I had them. This seemed very fancy for a weeknight dinner but was super easy and delicious. I cooked 2 for my husband, 2 year old and myself. I should have checked sooner but the temp was at around 180 when I checked after 35 minutes. The best part was my very picky 2 year old LOVED them. Probably because they were sweet. But I was impressed by all the flavor for a very healthy recipe. Next time I was thinking of adding chopped pecans too.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
I followed a long with combo of many of the most helpful comments including, omiting broth, adding worchestshire, gravy packet and water and just a TB of ketchup. The meat was delicious and flavorful with a nice sauce. I also used frozen veggies (peas and carrots). I followed the original instructions for the potatoes and kept adding more "stuff" because as they were the potatoes were extremely dry. I added probably a 1/4 cup of sour cream, 1/4 cup of milk and 3 tablespoons more butter. I just kept adding ingredients until it came to the consistency I enjoy. I also followed one suggestion of a sprinkle of paprika which was good. I used my Pampered Chef Easy Accent Decorator to pipe the potatoes evenly on top and make the presentation look professional. I also used a Deep Round Stone to bake nicely and keep in nice and hot when finished. Overall, very good but not the wow I was expecting after reading so many great reviews.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
Cooked this in my deep covered baker (piece of Pampered Chef stoneware). Cooked at 400 for 45 minutes. Stirred after 30 minutes. Used granny smith apple, reduced fat pork sausage, and dried herbs that it called for. Left out parsely because I accidently bought cilantro :( But it tasted so good, I guess it didn't need the parsely. Used probably a whole cup of chicken stock (the store didn't have turkey.) Oh I also used about 7 cups total of sourdough bread. I left the pieces out uncovered over night to dry them a little. It was the best stuffing EVER!

Frozen Strawberry Yogurt

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I thought this would be really good. I was so excited. I love yoplait's vanilla yogurt and used it along with delicious fresh fruit stand strawberries to make this recipe. It was not good. We ate it that night and then it sat in the freezer for a month. Not a good sign in my house.
