Lemon-Orange Orange Roughy

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
I never cooked orange roughy before and was looking for a recipe and came across this one. I wish I could rate it higher - it was perfect! I didn't have any fresh oranges or lemons so I just used juice I had on hand and it was great. I also have tried this on shrimp and that worked well too. Garnish with a slice of orange and it looks so pretty on the plate too! Thank you for sharing! :)

Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
Delicious and easy to make! I added a few ingredients - mushrooms and a little bit of celery, plus a bit extra pepper because we're spicy food fans. I served it for dinner and everyone loved it - and can't wait for the leftovers!

Stuffed Peppers with Turkey and Vegetables

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
We loved this recipe! Very delicious and healthy too. The only things I did differently were, I seasoned the ground turkey while I was browning it - I used oregano, garlic powder and black pepper (since we like things a little spicy). I will definitely make these again - I will cook the peppers a little longer next time, they were a bit al dente but still, delicous! Thank you for sharing :)

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2009
This was probably the easiest dinner I ever put together - and it was delicious! I added a little bit extra on the spices and added a tsp of savory, and used garlic powder since I didn't have any fresh garlic. But it was great blend of spices. I sprinkled with mozzarella cheese in the last 5 minutes of baking - chicken was moist and delicious. Also, since I don't care for tomatoes, I covered some of the chicken with mushrooms instead. Worked great. Thanks for sharing!!

Lemon Cranberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Great, easy recipe with delicious results! This was definitely the easiest recipe I've followed that didn't include a box of pre-made cafe mix :) I didn't have lemon extract so I used juice instead, worked fine, or almonds so I just skipped those but will add in next time I make these. The batter was a little soupy so I thought I did something wrong but they turned out perfect. Very pretty too! Thank you for sharing.

White Chocolate Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Delicious cookie! I made them around Thanksgiving and my family and friends loved them - they all disappeared really quickly from the tray. The only thing I did differently was skip the pecans. Thank you for sharing!

Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
This is a great recipe! Very easy to make. I baked for 50 min, then tented with foil and baked 10 more so the tops didn't get too dry. The result was moist and warm - delicious right out of the oven! I did add a few cups of chocolate chips, and some more allspice (for a more pumpkin spice kind of taste), but that was a personal preference. Thank you for sharing! Will be making again for the holidays.

Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
The best chocolate chip recipe I've ever used! This come out soft and delicious! I bake them for 9 minutes, then let them set for about 5 before removing from the trays. They're great right out of the oven! Fun recipe to try different variations with as well - I've tried half chocolate chips, and half white chocolate chips, or peanut butter chips, or even Reese's Pieces, and they always come out great.

Chocolate Pretzel Rings

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
This is so easy - and so tasty too! I made 2 batches in about 10 minutes total (counting unwrapping the hershey kisses). I used rolos for one batch, and candy cane hershey kisses for the other. I also just used regular mini pretzels (what I had on hand). Thank for sharing this recipe; they're a nice, easy treat to add to my cookie trays to change it up a bit!

Flip Flop Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
I was looking for a different kind of chicken recipe and came across this one. It was very good - I will make again! Although next time, I will cut the amount of butter down (I didn't really like the buttery flavor with the beer taste). Also, I added some additional spices - about half an extra tbsp of steak seasoning, and a tbsp of Italian seasoning. I also cooked it for about half the time on an indoor grill and it turned out pretty good. My husband suggested adding chili powder next time, so I will be trying that as well. Good recipe, thank you for sharing!

Cranberry Apple Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
This is very good!! I did add a tsp of vanilla for flavor, then a splash of milk and also a splash of cranberry-apple juice that I ironically had in the fridge. The dough was sticky, but it baked well. I baked for 35 minutes. And I tripled the recipe to make one loaf of bread and some trays of muffins. Can't wait to bring these to the family on Thanksgiving! Thank you for sharing!
