About this Cook
I have been working in the food industry since I started working, about 11 years ago, from making sub sandwiches to serving Prime Rib dinners. I am known to make restaurant-style dishes. I love eating something tasteful somewhere, even if it is at my job, and then trying to execute it at home. My boyfriend often complains because I make the perfect amount to fit on a plate, and he CAN eat, so I have forced myself to be able to make enough food so that there are second helpings! I love the feeling when someone can just look at my food and get excited about it! I usually make up the recipe as I go, so it is somewhat hard for me to stop and realize how much of what I am putting in something...it tastes good when it is done, but I do not usually know the amounts of what I use. I will work on that so I can submit recipes here.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook and eat chicken! Black pepper chicken caesar salads are one of my favorite things to cook and eat. It puts taste and health into a delicious, beautiful dish. I also make toasted sandwiches quite often. They are fast and I can take them to work with me. Some co-workers and I went to a theme park and I made sandwiches for everyone. One of the girls I work with has begged me for them ever since. Every once in a while I will make them for her.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Ever since I was little my mom has made Pizza Burgers on Halloween. Ever since I have lived on my own, I do the same. It is a fast recipe that I love, and I am sure every child would love the same. My fathers side of the family makes rum-balls every Christmas. His mother also makes stuffed cabbage rolls every time she knows that we will be arriving to her home...she lives 5 states away.

Southern Style Banana Split Cake
I saw mini Keebler graham cracker pie crusts and just had to make them. Absolutely delicious! I don't think anyone would not like these! I made 12 mini pies with 1 - 8oz pk. cream cheese, 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla mix. I soaked the bananas in the pineapple juice following the reviews. Put a layer of bananas on, layer of pineapple (soaked up some juice with paper towels), whip cream, peanuts, caramel squiggle, cut strawberry pieces sprinkled with sugar, hot fudge squiggle. Mmmmm!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake
I forgot to add that I did not strain the seeds out of the raspberries and could not tell there were any in there. It was perfectly fine without straining it.

Champagne Cake I
This was my first cake made from scratch. I made two changes to the recipe. 1. I added white chocolate chips. 2. On accident, I used Chardonnay! Oops! It turned out wonderful! I was pretty worried when my friend informed me that the bottle was Chardonnay, but it was wonderful! If it is good with Chardonnay, I am sure it is even better with Champagne! I went to my friends house, and my boyfriend took the cakes (2 mini-cakes and a batch of cupcakes) out of the oven. When I got home, 3 of the cupcakes were eaten, with no frosting. They actually taste great as muffins too. To my surprise, one of my little cakes was also missing! Looks like my dog also enjoyed this recipe! Bad dog! I will definitely make this recipe again, and I will make it with the Champagne this time!
