About this Cook
What originaly started me baking was that when I got out of highschool I wanted to be a Pastry Chef. Let me just say that even though I'm not out yet, that dream hasn't budged a bit since I started cooking. Other than cooking, I love horses, and horse training/riding so I'm always inventing and trying to find a good horse treat. If you have any, let me know! :) I try to use fresh stuff when I bake, but because I live in the city I've only got a tiny garden. But gardening that garden is still a good pasttime.
My favorite things to cook
I love making desserts, and out of all the desserts in the world I find that I just love making icecream. There's something about having liqudy goo turn into yummy frozen stuff that's fun. Aside from desserts, I've gone pro making Mac'n'Cheese, and stir fry is an all time fave for dinner...
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really have any, except that my mom makes killer pecan pie every year for Christmas and she still won't give me the recipe to post here. (:
My cooking triumphs
I've had alot of succsess making icecream, but the first time I tried it I didn't have an icecream maker so I made it by hand (taking in out of the freezer, stir, put it back, repeat a million times). Although I was sure somehow the icecream was going to end up just being like frozen yogurt or something, it actually turned out really yummy, and I've considered it my biggest acomplishment.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make icecream cones. DISASTER. Even though I follow the recipies right, and I use molds, or roll them by hand, either they end up way to chewy and soggy, and they dont harden even when I DO bake them a second time, or they end up to crunchy to mold.

Mint Buttercream Frosting With Dark Chocolate Glaze
This was totally worth making again, except I found it to be a little bit too sweet, but the perfect minty-ness. I used it on chocolate devil cake without the glaze, and it was great!
