About this Cook
I am a busy mother of 2 great boys and the wife of my great husband Brooks. We have a close family and we all know that food will do that to a family. So cooking is one thing I enjoy more than anything else.
My favorite things to cook
Pastas and cakes.
My cooking tragedies
Fried cubed steaks. No matter how hard or how many times I try I just can NOT seem to pull this off. We all love it but it don't ever get cooked in my house. So, we wait on OUR mom's to come over now and then and cook it for us. LOL! (:

Country Pound Cake
This is by far the best pound cake I have ever eaten. It was super easy and en-expensive. My whole family loved it along with the guys my husband works with. The lemon extract puts this cake over the top. LOVED IT!!

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff
Very good! I did change a few things. We don't like cream of mushroom so I used cream of onion instead. Only used 1 can didn't use the mushrooms either. Used about 1cup of milk, used about 3/4 of the cream cheese and used a 2.75oz pack of dry brown gravy mix. I did have to add a good bit of salt afterwards for extra flavor. Next time I will season my meat mixture a good bit while cooking it. And make sure the cream cheese is softened I actually had to melt mine with the hamburger meat. Mine turned out much thicker than the picture because I didn't use as much of the liquids called for, but this was a VERY good recipe that I WILL make again. My husband and kids even liked it and they are VERY picky eaters.
