I am about to try this recipe and after reading the reviews I can't wait! Gave it 5 stars already because how can it be anything less..according to the reviews. But, I was wondering if anyone has tried using a Splenda brown sugar substitute or regular Splenda instead of the sugar? I'm going to try the recipe using a few suggestions but I was curious if anyone had tried an alternative to the sugar. Part of my New Year Resolution..lol UPDATED 3 hours later...EXCELLANT!! Made all of mine into muffins, divided the batter up and added chocolate chips to one batch, raisins to another and chopped dates to another. For sugar I used 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar and 1 cup of white. I just might try using 2 cups of Splenda brown sugar for the next time I make this. I also did 1/2 cup veg oil and 1/2 cup applesauce with 2/3 cup of orange juice. I'm sure when I deliver them to my family they will be asking for more! Thanks so much for the fab recipe!!
