Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2014
This was crazy easy. I threw in a handful of dark chocolate chips and may have added a little more cocoa than the recipie called for, and it still came out amazing. Seriously delicious brownies that didn't even need the frosting. Moist, rich, and so crazy easy. Rave reviews from my fam. These are the best and easiest brownies ever.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
I need a LOT of bananas, I think I average 6-7, but I can compensate with applesauce. It's a moist and delicious bread. Make sure not to stir too much. This is a crown pleaser everytime.

Brussels Sprouts with Apple

Simple and good. The variations are endless depending on what you have on hand. This was a great accompaniment to Asian style ribs I'd made for dinner.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
This is a holiday and everyday staple dish. Everyone likes it every time. It's perfect the way it is, or get fancy with the cheese-which I layer in instead of just putting on top. I slice the potatoes a little thinner and put in about a 1/4 tsp of nutmeg. My preference is to use gruyere and swiss cheese and only about 1/2 onion so the cheese is not overpowered. I baked it a bit longer than they suggested, so consider it might need a bit more time than suggested. I also took off the foil for about 15 minutes at the end to brown a little.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
on its own, perhaps could use a little kick, but the recipe is solid and reliable. I followed as directed but at different times have also added a 1/4 red wine, a couple of potatoes, adjusted spices and still comes out great. fast to throw together b/c you dont have to brown the beef and it's great every time!
