Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2013
Loved this! I followed the instructions almost to a T but did what a lot of reviewers mentioned and made two coffee layers. I also doubled the coffee in the cake mix but decided not to double the liquor. I was worried I would regret not doubling the liquor, but it didn't seem to lack in flavor at all. I made and assembled it the day before my moms birthday and kept it in the fridge til serving time. It was a huge hit! Even the non-coffee lovers in our family loved it. One other thing I did differently was I actually used two cake mixes because I didn't want to have such thin layers. I used almost all of the batter, filling each pan til it was about half full. I loved having thicker cake layers and the frosting was still enough to cover my whole cake. I think next time I will try making this with a homemade cake recipe instead of box. My mom said I'm in charge of making all the birthday cakes from now on! :)

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2013
This is my husband's favorite cake! He asks me for it on every occasion and I've dressed it up a few different ways -all of them being delicious. I've done exactly as directed with just a sprinkling of powdered sugar -my husband loves it this way with some vanilla bean ice cream. I've also made it as a layered cake with the chocolate mousse recipe from "Chocolate Mousse Cake" -also on allrecipes. Or I've made it with a glaze. All have been amazing, this cake is so simple and I love how easy it is to incorporate it into other recipes or use with other ideas. Couldn't be more happy with it and I always get compliments on my baking when I make it. What more could you ask for? :)

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2012
This has become one of my go-to dinner recipes! So easy to just put the chicken in the crock pot, shred, and put on some buns. LOVE the flavor. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it whenever I've made it. I use fresh chicken breasts and cook on low for 7-8 hours. I usually shred the chicken an hour before I take it out. I have cooked it on high for 4-5 hours when I'm in a hurry and it's just as juicy/flavorful.

Fruit Pizza II

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2012
Every time I've made this recipe people tell me how much they love it! I do what some other reviewers have said and bake the cookie til it's crispy because the frosting and fruit will make it the perfect softness/chewiness.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
I just made this banana bread about a week ago and it turned out amazing! It's the first time I've ever attempted making it and my husband said it was the best banana bread he's had. I did almost everything exactly as instructed but took a few other reviewers tips and made 3 9x5 loaves baked at 325 degrees for an hour and 10 minutes. I also used 5 large bananas since I didn't have 6 and it still tasted great. Take it from a first timer, this banana bread is awesome!! I was super apprehensive to try making it because we love banana bread at our house and I didn't want to make something only to have it turn out yucky. It was very easy and better than the banana bread that people have made for us. Thank you for a recipe that I will be using for years to come!
