Outstanding. Eliminate the almonds and add sauted sliced mushrooms and it becomes that elusive perfect nut-free green bean recipe for special dinners with a nut-allergic diner. Everything can be made in advance and quickly reheated. Used whole baby green beans arranged on a platter and topped with shallot/red pepper and then with mushrooms. Like many, I used less sugar (1 T demerara, but any granulated would do.)
