I've been an Army Wife since '05 and a mom since '08. Cooking for my soldier can be tricky at times...especially when he brings home what feels like the whole base and I'm unprepared, when dinner was planned for 4 and now I'm cooking for at least 5 more. But it has made me more creative in the kitchen and unafraid to experiment.
My favorite things to cook
I'm willing try cooking anything and so far I haven't found anything I don't like to cook...
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I haven't created any traditions as of yet, but my fave from my parents house was mom would always start making the desserts for our big holiday meals a couple days in advance. Filling the house with mouth watering aromas, better than any old scented candle can ever do! I always got to help, and at Christmas time we would blast Christmas music while cooking! It was so much fun to sing and dance to the music while cooking!
My cooking triumphs
My husband would say the cinnamon roll chicken I created, but I would have to say my first big holiday dinner (which I will admit was a bit of a daunting task).
