Cookie Decorating and Ham

I normally make the same types of cookies for the holidays, but this year it will be abbreviated. My gingerbread men taste wonderful but it seems not too many others like them, so they're off the list this time. I have a request for my Heavenly Hash and I love Oriental Crunch, a family tradition, and I'll do decorated sugar cookies.

Can't wait to try the new Soft Sugar Cookies along with the decorator icing that's received rave reviews. Normally I use colored sugar and sprinkles, raisins, red-hots alone, but this year I'll go all-out with the icing. A young friend never baked at home, so I invite her to help with the cookies. You should have seen her the first time! I never had such fashionably-dressed gingerbread ladies! I'll be sure to post a pic of this year's results.

My ham is done. A miscommunication resulted in a huge 14+ pound ham, so I had to cut it in half to fit in my crockpot. Being pre-cooked, I just sliced the rest and bagged it for the freezer. The other half I put in the crock on top of brown sugar, drizzled some pineapple juice over it, added a bit more sugar on top with whole cloves pushed it....after 5 hours it was heavenly!  Sliced it up and put into a few containers with the sauce/juices from the crock, so it's now "marinating" for more flavor on Christmas Day.

My goal is to have all cooking done PRIOR to Christmas, so I can relax on the day...only heat up will be needed. AAAAAHHH.  (And so I can play Wii)

sounds like you have things under control! Your ham sounds good and I think I may try that, though not for Christmas. We have a turkey for tomorrow and prime rib for the 25th. Be careful playing that Wii - I played at my daughter-in-law's and twisted my knee "bowling" - LOL!! Merry Christmas to you!

@Mother Ann - I did, in fact, have very sore legs after bowling on Wii. But it goes to show that it's good exercise, I guess.
