Chicken Salad with Apples, Grapes, and Walnuts

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2013
Just made this cuz I had a whole rotisserie chicken I needed to use up. I didnt have enough lemon juice, nor the yogurt. However, I did substitute yogurt ranch dressing and cut back on the onion as others suggested. I also added a bag of cranberries & honey glazed walnut mixture. Came out very good. Will definitely make this again, but will be sure to have all the ingredients!

THIS WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL. I FOLLOWED ALL THE DIRECTIONS PRECISELY, AND NONE OF MY TEENAGERS LIKED IT. I'LL ADMIT, I DIDNT LIKE IT EITHER. WONT MAKE IT AGAIN

Quinoa with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
I just made this last night and it was great! My husband & kids loved it...I even surprised myself. I made it according to the directions, I only doubled the recipe to have lots of leftovers. I did sprinkle on some salt/pepper as it was cooking. I will experiment next time w/other veggies & fresh spinach. I also used "red" quinoa which was fine. Loved the color! No taste difference from the regular. I will be making this again!

Cornbread Pancakes

These were just "OK" for me. I love cornbread, and I love pancakes, so was hoping the two would come together in a heavenly way...didnt do it for me. I wont be making these again, sorry....

Herbed Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
I've made this before and it was so good I'm making it again. I'm using a 7.82lb turkey breast and cooking it 8-10 hrs on low, just like last time. The mixture was so yummy tasting, I can't wait to eat it again tonight! My husband & kids raved last time so I followed the recipe to a tee, except I add about a tsp of chopped rosemary. It's so easy to prepare, u have to try it! Very moist!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2012
JUST MADE THIS LAST NIGHT & IT TURNED OUT VERY GOOD. IN MY EYES, IT WAS CHILI, WITH CHICKEN. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A HEALTHY VERSION, I RECOMMEND LEAVING OUT THE TACO SEASONING (ENORMOUS SODIUM), & ADDING YOUR OWN SEASONINGS. THE REST OF THE INGREDIENTS ARE PRETTY HEALTHY. I ALSO OPTED FOR THE BUSH CHILI BEANS. I ADDED A CAN OF MILD & A CAN OF MEDIUM. HAD A SLIGHT KICK TO IT, SO ADJUST ACCORDING TO YOUR TASTES. OVERALL, I WILL BE MAKING THIS AGAIN!

Grilled Chicken with Rosemary and Bacon

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
This was just "OK" for us. I too, used thin chicken breasts, and even grilled it on low, but the bacon was still too rubbery to enjoy. I was afraid the chicken would dry out if I cooked it on a higher setting. Probably wont make it again since we're trying to eat healthier.

Corn Casserole III

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
I've made this so many times now. It's becoming a staple, but kind of fattening, so only once in a while. Very easy, highly recommend, especially if you're looking for a pot luck dish! Just double it & makes a large amount! I've gotten so many compliments!

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
This was super easy as everyone else says. I also followed advice & used about 2 fresh thick sliced tomatoes per chicken breast. I thought it was just "OK", but my husband and kids loved it. It was super juicy & moist. I guess its a matter of pref. I will make it again tho...

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
Made this and absolutely loved it! I ended up making it in the oven according to NYPD K9's review. My kids gobbled it up! Served it with celery & carrot sticks, as well as tortillas & crackers. Gotta try it!

Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts with Shallots

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
I agree with everyone else's reviews. Just made it last night and it was quick, easy, and delicious! I removed the breasts from the pan after browning, cooked up the garlic & red onion (didn't have shallots on hand) then thickened the sauce a bit. Put the chickens back in and cooked another minute. Came out perfect - no leftovers!!! Will definitely make this a staple dinner.

Roasted Vegetable Orzo

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
I just made this last night, and it was sooooo good! I did follow "Sahmcook's" advice and let the liquid absorb out of the pasta. I also added 1/2 cup of the cheese. There are 7 of us in my family so I used a lot of veggies. This made a big bowl, with only a bit leftover. The whole family loved it! If you're debating on making it, go for it! You wont be disappointed.

Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2011
This is a very tasty! I followed someone else's idea and grilled the chicken after allowing it to marinate all day. It was great! Next time I might try using brown sugar instead of the white. My family loved this recipe and will be enjoying it for years to come.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
I made this last night for the 1st time and it turned out surprisingly well! SO EASY! I took the advice from others, and used a can of crushed pineapple instead of chunked. I also cooked it about 5-1/2 hrs on high, and the chicken was fine. There was plenty of sauce (which I also thickened) so served it w/mashed potatoes, however next time I will try it with white rice or even egg noodles. Yum!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
I just made this last night for the 1st time, and it was very good! I followed some of the other's advice & doubled the liquid measures, but will triple it next time to have enough for the linguine. I also got nervous that the mushroom sauce was too watery, but after about 8-10 mins of simmering, it thickened up quite nicely! My husband & 4 kids loved it, and so I will surely be making this again! PS, I also cut the chickens in 1/2 for easier cooking. Don't be afraid to add your own seasonings into the flour mixture to kick up the flavor!

Hearty Pasta Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
Made this last night exactly as called for and it came out superb. All 6 of us enjoyed it thoroughly. Served fresh buttered italian bread on the side, and OMG, to die for! I was skeptical about the sausage but all the flavors worked perfectly together. I will definitely be making this again!!!

I'VE BEEN MAKING THIS RECIPE IN THE OVEN FOR YEARS NOW. I ALWAYS USE BONELESS CHICKEN AND COOK IT FOR ABOUT 1/2 AN HOUR OR SO. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAMILY'S FAVORITE DISHES, ESP MY HUSBAND! I LIKE THE IDEA OF USING A CROCK POT, WILL TRY THAT NEXT TIME.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
This was amazing! Followed the recipe, but lowered brown sugar to 1-1/2 cups. Thanks to previous reviews I did not add extra water. I used a 5-1/2 lb semi-boneless ham, and the few leftovers were gone before the night's end. My guests asked for the recipe...how easy!!!! Thanks for a wonderful new dinner idea!

Honey Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
I just made this last night and it was "ok". I didn't marinate it due my husband thinking it would change the flavor outcome, so the chicken wasn't as tender as we would have liked. My kids liked it more since they've never had it before. I probably wont make it again.
