Super Duper Bean Salad

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
This salad is addicting! I added one can of an already-made bean salad from Trader Joe's, and left out the pepper and wax beans since I didn't have them, and it was so tasty! My roomate felt bad for eating so much of it :) Am making this again right now actually...

Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This turned out fabulous. I took others' suggestions and added celery, cornstarch to make it thicker, and my own personal additions of fresh tomatoes. I felt like it needed something else - so I added a bit more sugar and some salt. Overall though, the flavor is great because it's not too heavy but also far from bland. The perfect chili. Thanks!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
I'm pretty sure this is the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. And I really am snobby about mac&cheese and am a big fan. My only qualm was that it's a little too rich. Maybe I should use fat free sour cream and cottage cheese as the other reviewer suggested. I didn't add milk so I hope it's not too dry as leftovers.... Overall though, this was amazing. I added bacon bits and peas and that made it even more tasty. Thanks Chuck!!

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
This is my first time EVER making banana bread or any type of bread for that matter, so with that in mind it came out really well and was super easy. It was a little dry and I feel like the recipe was missing something to make it a little more moist. Maybe if you eat it with butter, jam or cream cheese it will taste more interesting. But overall it was simple and not too sweet - perfect for breakfast, daytime snack, or potluck.

Whitechapel Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
This worked out really well. I made the potatoes from scratch and didn't have the rutabaga, but everything else was great. I agree with the other reviewers that one more can of tomato sauce should be added to the recipe. The Parmesan cheese is the key here -- I would say the more the merrier!
