Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
I have made these so many times!! They always come out good, sometimes I just use regular hamburger buns. Even my super duper duper really picky daughter gobbles them up. I agree to cut back on the onion soup mix though.

This was good!! I made several jars. It was my first time canning, I also added some extra lemon juice since it is required when canning tomatoes..

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
This was great!! I followed others advice to let the jello set up some and I had no problem with it seeping into the cream cheese layer- it actually kinda seemed to slip off the cream cheese layer when I cut it but it didn't matter, taste definitely ruled over that problem. I also used fresh strawberries and light cream cheese

Old-Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2013
These were great! Very similar to my mothers recipe, except hers had no salt and added some vanilla. I did add all the salt called for in this recipe, but out of instinct I upped the sugar and added some vanilla. I am glad I did, because they were still a little salty. My daughter noticed it, I thought they were delicious and the little salt taste went well with syrup and strawberries, but next time I might cut the salt to 1/2 tsp. Thanks John!!

Authentic German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
I tripled the sauce, because I was not sure how much I would need to cover my potatoes and I did not want to run out. I used a pound of bacon, and I used Russet potatoes. To keep the potatoes from getting "mushy" pop them on a baking sheet in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes, then mix them with the other ingredients. This helps them hold their shape. Everyone loved it!!!

Ryan's Reverse Popper Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
I made this just as described except I skipped the cumin and oregano simply by mistake. I also used Panko bread crumbs. Took it to a BBQ and it was gone soon, everyone liked it. Thanks!!

Chewy Caramel

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
Only change was I used white sugar as I didn't have any brown! I also didn't use a candy thermometer, just used the soft ball test and it turned out great! I had no issues with it setting up and yes it is chewy, hence then name chewy caramel! It was SOOOOO good, creamy, chewy, sweet and terrible for my belly! Thanks

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
This is a great idea, but i dont know WHY you would use marshmallows, DONT! I did, and all of them "floated" to the center of the cake, making a big goopy un-bakable center. I then scooped out the entire center of the cake and finished baking it. Had I not done that the entire cake NEVER would've finished baking. It was alright, but I dont think I'll make it again.

Easy Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
I REALLY wanted this to work, I followed the directions exactly and when the bread was done baking the inner layer was not cooked all the way. I did NOT want to toss it, so I went ahead and sliced it up and then baked it for a few more minutes so it could cook through. I don't understand how so many made this with no problems, I would think its me but I did exactly as the recipe stated. It did taste good though, and after my quick save it was edible. Maybe next time I will fold it in half like a calzone or something.
