Beer Butt Rosemary Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
Totally agree with the prior comment NOT to use a beer can as the vertical stand. There are enough toxins in our processed foods already without adding more. Beer cans are designed for cold, not hot. Spend a couple bucks for the vertical stand. It's also more stable.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Wonderful. I cannot imagine using dry, flavorless skinless breasts instead. What a bore! The point of food is "Flavor"!!

Apricot Chicken

This is good. But I prefer thighs because they have more flavor. Chix breasts are like having Wonder bread when you could have real bread. Yes, thighs have more fat. It's fat that carries flavor. Also used dried apricots soaked in a little brandy 'cuz I take a diabetic into consideration.

Nancy's Chicken in Puff Pastry

I agree with the comments that this is not a flavorful dish. If you like "blue hair food" this is it. Put some garlic and spices into this. Kick it up. As Emeril says "bam".

Oven Fried Lemonade Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
I think you could use limeade instead of lemonade for an Island flavor. Breasts are really boring, so I would use 8 bone-in, skin-on thighs. Also I would substitute panko for the cornflakes and add 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes for zip. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro or parsley according to taste.
