Smothered Hamburger Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
this did not work too well for us. Maybe we had our expectations too high though. The meat was very balnd and had no real flavor. I even added some extra garlic and onion powder when mixing it up. The gravy was ok at best and very disappointing since we usually love gravy and cream sauces. I think I will be looking for a different recipe next time.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
WARNING!!! Be sure to MAKE EXTRA, there was LITERALLY a fight in my house tonight over the last peice. And make some extra sauce for dipping, its really good. I am not a big fan of meatloaf but I thought I would try it because I was looking for something i could throw in the crock pot and I had some extra ground beef so I gave it a try. It was amazing, everyone loved it. It was really moist and it really does almost melt in your mouth. I did change one thing though, I substituted some dale's for the w. sause because I didnt have any.

Campbell's® Easy Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
Loved it. Even the kids ate it. We did use regular taco sauce in place of the picante because the kids dont like 'stuff' but it was still great. Its a keeper.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sushi Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
I made these for a soccer team cookout. They were ok except the jelly was soaking through the bread before we made it there so they were kinda soggy. Perhaps it would have been better if they were made at home for lunch.

Patriotic Poke Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
After just a couple bites I had requests for the recipe! Everyone loved it. I will definately be making this again and trying different flavors. Since we were going to be in the heat for a cookout I was kinda worried the cool whip would not hold the cake together so I did alter the icing using the suggestion from a reviewer. I used french vanilla instead of plain vanilla because its what I had. It was amazing!

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
I followed the recipe almost exactly, the only thing I changed was I used onion powder instead of chopped because the kids won't eat it if they see it. I will make it again but I will leave out the salt, they said it was too salty, I guess the ham or soup we used must have had salt also. I may add a little extra water too because it was kinda dry and starting to stick to the pan after 3 hours. Other than that we really like it so we will try again with adjustments.

Mashed Potato Tacos

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
Well I admit I thought it sounded really unappealing when I first read it but the kids wanted to try it. They loved it and have requested it again "really, really , soon" so I guess its a keeper. We did leave of the fried onions because they don't care for them. My husband felt like they were missing something though even though we added chopped onion to his since he likes onion. We will be having these again.

I made these for a christmas dinner and they were a hit. I got several requests for the recipe. It is a little time consuming but worth it. I will make this again.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
this did not come out very fluffy but I did use plain old sandwich bread, next time I will try thicker bread and see if it helps. I did think it sounded kinda crazy at first adding flour, but it turns out well. My family absolutley LOVED it anyway though. I have had to make it two days in a row now. Even my 3 year old ate it and he has never like french toast, I think it was because this recipe was not soggy like some others I have tried. Definately give it a try.

Monterey Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I made this in 2 pans, one with salsa one without for the kids. the lime was a nice change from our usual chicken dishes but it was much better without the salsa.
