Chakchouka (Shakshouka)

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
This was great! My husband loved it. The only thing I would change it to half the salt since it was a bit salty for my taste but otherwise it was great.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
This was really good. I added some fish to it since I like fish in my chowder and white wine instead of the vinegar since I ran out and couldn't go back to the store. It was great!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
I just got a waffle maker and decided to try making these. I doubled the vanilla according to others and used buttermilk instead of regular since I ran out of regular. They were great! Absolutely perfect! Will make again.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
This is really good chili. Almost as good as my grandmothers. The only changes I made was to use half the tomato juice and doubled the tomato sauce (to make it thicker). Next time I would also add extra bell pepper and double the cayenne pepper. Thanks for posting :-)

These were amazing and the sauce was fantastic. My husband asked me to make them again the next day. I think I'll add some panko next time but it is a great recipe.

Apple Pie

Tastes great and easy. I used fresh ginger since I can't stand the taste of ground ginger. Once you use the fresh its hard to go back.

Beer Batter Fish Made Great

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Great recipe. I cut the salt in half and coated the fish in flour before dipping it in the batter. Drained it on paper towels to remove oil. Came out perfect. Just like a restaurant.

Hot and Sour Chinese Eggplant

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
I have been trying to find this recipe for a long time with may failed attempts. I love the eggplant cooked at chinese restaurants but I could never get it right until I found this. I made a few additions to make it perfect but its also good as is. I added 2 cloves garlic, added an extra green chili, chopped up about a Tbs of fresh ginger and doubled the sauce. I think next time I will triple the sauce (I just really like it) and add some ground meat for extra flavor. Thank you for posting it. My search for this eggplant recipe is now over.

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
I thought this was really good. I only used 1 lb of chicken and added some broccoli to it. I also used fresh pasta since I think it tastes better for these types of dishes. I did change the order I cooked it in since I feel I get a better result. First I cooked the chicken, which I didn't marinade, until it wasn't pink anymore. Next I added and cooked the veggies. I added the cooked pasta with what was suppose to be the marinade and the sesame oil and cooked until it thickened then served.

Thai Pineapple Chicken Curry

This was amazingly good. I used the whole amount of curry and cooked it in oil for a minute, then added chicken. Cooked that for a couple of minutes then followed the rest of the recipe. Added finely chopped lime leaves at the end. Excellent

These were really good as written. The only change I made was to use tangerine juice and zest. I also threw in some fresh tangerine slices during the last minute which was a hit.
