Soft Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
Very good! First time ever making breadsticks. Mind didn't quite look as pretty as the picture, but they tasted really good. After I buttered the top I sprinkled more Parmesan cheese on them, very very tasty! I will make these often! I would however like to use a garlic butter on top instead of just plain butter next time.

Happy Shrimp

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
So so good! I actually made the sauce about a month ago then stuck it in the freezer. I had bought the stuff to make it and didn't want it to go bad as our dinner plans had changed the night I was going to make it. It was pretty easy and very tasty. I served it on bow tie pasta. The sauce was a little thin, I don't know if that was from freezing it or not, but it didn't matter, it was so very yummy. I'll be making this often!

Island Kielbasa in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
Very easy to make and tasted so good. I added half an onion and half a bell pepper because I had some in my fridge that needed to be used. The sauce was VERY thin so I added a little bit of cornstarch about 10 mins before I served it, it thickened it right up and come out perfect. Will be making this one again and again with chicken and shrimp as well as the kielbasa.

Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
The filling was easy to whip up and tasted excellent! The coconut tasted like a mounds candy bar, so good. However, I had a little problem with the chocolate chips. They didn't melt so well. So I just melted them 2 cups at a time, and had much more success (after dumping two failed attempts). That was NOT my first time melting chocolate, I do it often. I have no idea what went wrong, but I figured it out. They were a little big, next time I will make them smaller, but they tasted wonderfully.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
OH MY GOSH! This was so so so good! My husband has begged me to make this everyday since I made it. I followed the recipe just as it was written, however, I did bake it in a 375 degree oven for 30 mins instead of in the breadmaker. I've even had a neighbor as she'll pay me to make this for her. Seriously won't be wasting your time trying this recipe it really is that good!

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
Oh so yummy! Very easy to make. As I started to make the pasty crust I was thinking that 4 eggs were too much. I got a fork and the eggs mixed in nicely, no problem. The filling was a little lumpy and I mixed the milk into the cream cheese a little at a time. Next time (and there will SO be a next time) I'm going to mix the milk and pudding together and then soften the cream cheese to slightly warmer than room temp and see if I cannot get rid of the lumps. However, it didn't affect the taste at all. I also took the advice of another reviewer and spread chocolate frosting (I just used a store bought frosting) onto of the pastry before I put the filling in. SO YUMMY!

Chocolate Mint Dessert Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
Seriously SO good! I took the advice of other reviewers and used a boxed brownie mix, however I would reccomend using two boxes in a 9x13 sized pan, 1 box made the brownies a little thin with loads of mint. I used peppermint extract (1 tsp) instead of the creme de menthe liqueur. The chocolate topping was WAY too buttery (6 tablespoons was way too much 2 or 3 would have been perfect) so I added another cup of chocolate chips, which turned out perfect. I melted the butter and chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, only took about 1 min. They were so yummy! Took them to a party and everyone asked for the recipe, it's so easy to make too. Yummy! Thanks for the recipe, I've been looking to spice up brownies for a while now and this was the first time I've tired.

Lemon Garlic Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
Pretty good, I was looking for something a little more lemony. But none the less very good. I didn't have any peppers or the green onion so it was just the shrimp and the sauce. Will for sure make again, maybe just add more lemon juice.

Brown Sugar Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
These were so good. Took less than 5 minutes to put together, and so tasty! I only baked for 25 mins, till the edges were brown. I used an 8x8 pan, but I think a bigger one would be just fine, they came out thick. I also added some chocolate chips to it, and didn't put in the nuts, you could do both, I just don't care for nuts and I didn't have any.

Modenese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
I did a variation of this recipe. I substituted chicken stock for the white wine, as I didn't have any. And 2T olive oil for the butter. The results were amazing! My husband raved about the flavor. Such a good recipe to add flavor and change to pork chops.

Chicken Potato Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
Very good, a something different than cream of chicken soup and potato recipes. So easy to put together too, which I love! I had some country style hashbrowns (cubed potatoes) in my freezer so I thought I'd see how that worked. It was a 24oz bag, I used the whole thing, and I also used 6-10 chicken tenders. I sprinkled onion powder and garlic powder on the chicken, then dumped a full cup of Italian dressing over the potatoes and chicken. Then sprinkled the parmesan cheese and Italian seasonings over the chicken. I didn't measure it, just covered the chicken with it, mmmm. It came out better than I ever expected!

Sesame Parmesan Zucchini

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
So easy and so yummy! I didn't have the sesame oil, so I just didn't use any, I also didn't use a full 2T of olive oil, closer to 1. I didn't think that it would work after I dumped all the ingredients into the bowl and ended up with a paste of sorts. I threw in the zucchini and mixed it up and was surprised that the paste stuck to the zucchini. It did have a little bit of a kick to it, I'm a whimp, so next time I think I'll do less cayenne pepper. My 3 year old and 1 year old loved it, I loved the sesame flavor! Thanks for the recipe, I'm always bored with zucchini.

Simple Time Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
I totally messed this up and it turned out WONDERFUL! I must have read the recipe wrong, I put 4T of butter in instead of just 4t, but it still tasted so very good. I almost melted the butter, mixed in the mayo then added all the seasonings to the butter/mayo blend and just spooned it over the chicken. Oh and I used chicken because I didn't have any pork chops (although I could have sworn that I did, freezer must have eaten them). I'll totally be making this again. And maybe I'll even try doing it right :)

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Oh my goodness, could there be a better cookie! My mouth waters thinking about them. I took the advice of another reviewer and add 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 2 Tablespoon of vanilla. Holy cow SO GOOD! I've made these for a few parties and people always ask me if I really made these and then of course for the recipe. They really are that good! I always cool cookies on the sheet for a few minuets and then cool the sheet completely before putting more dough on the sheet to bake. This will keep the cookie from melting before getting into the oven. I've used different puddings also, coconut was really really good. I've not tried chocolate yet, but I'm going to.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
These are pretty good. So easy to make and they do taste oh so yummy. I was a little worried, the dough didn't look like regular cookie dough to me. It looked a little too runny. But I followed the directions, and despite my concerns they look wonderful and taste so good! I have a bad habit of never sifting my dry ingredients and I've never had a problem. I baked till the tops were cracking and edges were lightly browned, and it was perfect. Still so gooey in the middle.

Banana Bread - Quick Bread for Machines

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
Oh my goodness! This is SO yummy and so easy to make! I just got a breakmaker and had only used it one other time when I found this recipe. I love banana bread and thought why not try it in the bread maker. I added 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, and a slash of vanilla for a little extra something. So good! I cooked it on the sweet bread setting, but it wasn't quite done at the end. My machine says it cannot be restarted till the machine is cooled all the way. But I figured out how to reset it (hold down the start/stop button till it beeps) and put it on the bake cycle for an extra 10 mins, and it was perfect. I thought it might have been too long, as it looked a little dried out, but I was wrong, moist and tasty!
