Whole Wheat, Oatmeal, and Banana Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2014
I really enjoyed these. I was already tweaking a pancake recipe I had. Then I can across this recipe I was thrilled because short of a few difference it was just like my "tweaked" version, but completed. I appreciate this recipe since it's not all all purpose flour ... ick! I liked them as they were but did not love them ... for my household, I needed more bananas, no sugar and I hate veggie oil. They did cook up nice and fluffy though but many were left over. The tweaks I made to this recipe were as follows: *I used virgin coconut oil instead of veggie. *I used 3 bananas (yes, I love nana pancakes lol) instead of 1. *I did not use any sugar, instead I used 30 drops of liquid stevia. *Since the milk powder is only there as a source of protein, I substituted almond flour instead. *Also you could use coconut or almond milk for these and it works great and make them dairy free! Next time I will replace the APF with a combo of sorghum/millet and see how they come out. None of these were left over and also no syrup was needed for them although my hubby always puts syrup on his pancakes and he did with these also ... but it was not "needed" Enjoy everyone!! Thank you so much for this recipe, it saved me a lot of time.

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
This was truly the very best Cream Corn recipe I have ever had, and I've had and made quite a few living in the south!! ;o) I doubled this recipe because we were having company and the only things I changed for a double recipe was: Using 12oz of Cream Cheese & Fat free evaporated milk. I also added 4 strips of bacon crumbled up ... it was delicious!!!! I would recommend heating up all your ingredients minus your corn in a sauce pot and pouring over your corn in the crocker. It does make the process less lumpy. Since everything was heated thoroughly, I only cooked mine for two hours; 1 hr on high, 1 hr on low. It was perfect! This recipe is a keeper!!! Thank you Dotte!!!

Blueberry Kuchen

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2010
This was yummy!! We used yummy picked blueberries. It came out wonderfully ... I did have to cut about 6 mins off the cooking time but that was easy to take care of. I also went ahead and made a almond/vanilla glaze for my crew.

Marshmallow Crispie Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
These were great! NOTE: don't let the butter burn, slow and steady wins this race! If the butter burns it will make these tough and of course bad tasting. I added half a cup of creamy PB to the marshmallow, and cocoa rice crispy instead of plain! Greased the pan and let sit over night. Then I double boil some chocolate chips and a TBSP of peanut butter and drizzled it over the done bars ... sooo yummy!! Great base of a recipe!!

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
This mix is excellent!! I used 7cups APF (made into SRF), and 3 cups Whole wheat flour. I also used frozen shredded butter instead of shortening. I halved the recipes for two batches of biscuits. Using 5 cups of flour mix with 2 cups of milk. And they still came out fantastic!! Fluffy, soft, flaky ... yummy!! Second batch was Cheddar biscuits, made the same as above with added 3/4 cup of cheddar shredded cheese! This recipe is fantastic and easy to adjust to your liking ... wonderful ... thank you so much for sharing!! PS ... can't wait to make pancakes with this mix ;o)

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2010
This cake was delicious! I made a pineapple upside down cake (9x13)with it and it came out moist and yummy! I highly recommend you follow the directions ... I did have to cook it an extra 12 mins but I also had the syrup factor from the pineapples. I also added a 1/4 of pineapple juice into my milk for extra flavor, it didn't affect the cake at all! I would definitely say this ... mix that butter and sugar REALLY well it makes such a difference!! I'm going to keep making this cake for a long time!!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
I think this recipe is a fantastic base. I omitted the milk and also brushed the sugar/ketchup mix OVER the meatloaf because it just makes more sense to me to do it that way :o) I also made a "bread bed" for the extra oil. All in all a keeper, just add your own flavor and kick to the meat!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
This recipe is awesome! I really do love to make this with my girls. It's simple and effective AND no bread machine!!!! YAH!! The only thing, I noticed was that it every time I have made it, it always needs about 3/4 cup more flour than stated in the recipe. Other than that I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to learn to make cinnamon rolls and/or just wants a fast recipe! Thanks Debbie!!
