Typically, I enjoy cooking traditional Chinese dishes, everyday quick meals, anything with Maryland crabs, and Italian dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My father's side of the family owned a Cantonese restaurant in Harvard Square for several decades. The greater part of my family worked in the restaurant and I have been blessed with the cooking gene. My sister is a chef at one of Miami's hottest Asian fusion restaurants and I am extremely proud of her.
My cooking triumphs
I'm a terrible baker, but very good cook. I put my fears to rest and made a 2-tier fondant cake for my best friend's baby shower. That's off the bucket list and I'm going to leave it at that!
My cooking tragedies
Any baked good. I can ruin boxed brownies and cakes like no other.
