About this Cook
Just looking to find some new recipes to use and maybe share a few of my own.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to make are whatever I can pop into the oven, and homemade stews. I also love making breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The holidays- anything with a big, dead bird or pig.
My cooking triumphs
Nothing too extraordinary yet. I've only recently figured out the secret to a good chicken and how to make a good wheat bread.
My cooking tragedies
Never set the cookbook on the stove...

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler
Delicious recipe, I love that it uses fresh peaches instead of canned. I added about 1/2 cup of oats and increased the flour by 1/4 cup for the topping. came out nice and crunchy.

Real Traditional Irish Soda Bread
Thank you so much for posting the un-Americanized version of soda bread. I'd been trying to find a real recipe for several days and managed to stumble upon this one. Such a relief!
