Taco Pizza

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
I altered this by using whole wheat pitas for the crust, and I omitted the ground beef. Was very good! Will definitely make this one again.

Wild Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This was a great weekday-lunch recipe! It reheats nicely. I modified it due to lack of ingredients. I used vegetable broth instead of water and chicken bouillon. Much to my dismay, I didn't have wild rice so used 1 cup white rice and 1 cup lentils instead. I think I would add a little more seasoning of some sort next time.

Burmese Chicken Curry (Gaeng Gai Bama)

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
THE BEST! 0. I didn't add the sugar as I figured the shallots/onions would make it sweet enough and I was right. 1. We had no "red curry paste" so I substituted it with regular Indian curry + minced garlic + a little shrimp paste which we already have. 2. I added sliced large mushrooms, seasoned ground turkey (we had some spare) and shrimp, it turned out SUPER DUPER AWESOME! 3. I seared and fried the meat a bit before adding water and it turned out really well.

Pakistani Style Vegetables

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
This was spicy and delicious! I used a pack of shredded cole-slaw mix and eyeballed the spices. I used turkey stock instead of water. I would definitely make it again. YUM.

Easy Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
I liked it! It's a good way to use up the last of the miso. I didn't have onion powder, but I sauteed some spring onions before adding the flour. I used 1 beef bouillon and 2 sodium-free vegetable bouillon cubes for the broth, and found it to be salty enough.

Chicken with Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
This was pretty good! I put it in the slow cooker before I left for work, and cooked it a full 8 hours. Mods (I used what I had on hand): c/o mushroom soup, homemade croutons (skipped the butter), olive oil to grease the crock, beau monde seasoning on chicken, chicken broth instead of water, and added some carrots and celery. Next time I'd add vegetables again (onion, green bean, corn) and maybe a layer of sweet potato. I'd choose one or more low-sodium products, but my guest didn't think it was too salty.
