Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2011
I usually read the reviews first before trying a recipe, and much to my chagrin, this time I didn't. I whole-heartedly agree with the reviews that state this recipe is too salty - I followed the recipe exactly, and it was so salty it made me wince...and I LIKE salt! I'm really bummed now because I ruined a batch of eggs! :-(

Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2011
I did as some other reviewers suggested and added a (heaping) half tsp of salt, 1 tsp of vanilla, a little extra pb, and I replaced the white sugar with raw unrefined sugar - I think it gives a better flavor. The salt definitely brings out that awesome salty/sweet combination. The kids devoured them and my husband kept sneaking them as quickly as I could get them out of the oven! :-) Definitely let them cool for a few minutes before you remove them from your cookie sheet ( or baking stone - I use mine for everything...and cookies always turn out phenomenal! ) or they will fall apart. This recipe is a keeper - I will be making these cookies again and again!

Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
My family really liked this recipe. I used 4 cups of cooked jasmine rice and adjusted the other ingredients accordingly. I also used shredded sharp cheddar and was very generous with it. I didn't have green onions so I minced half of a Vidalia onion, and it turned out great! I will definitely make this again!

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
YUM! I just made these today using one 12.6 oz bag of Valentine M&M's - so pretty! Like other reviewers I also substituted the shortening with 2 sticks of butter. I stuck with the tsp of salt and added a pinch extra because I love that hint of salt with the sweetness of the cookie. My boys have already devoured a bunch of them and in their words these cookies are " AWESOME! ". Thanks for sharing this great classic recipe!

Kentucky Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
I don't know where I went wrong, because I followed the recipe, but my pudding has been chilling in the fridge for several hours and just won't set. I am going to try bringing it back to a boil and adding more cornstarch in the hopes it will thicken it up, but I'm not feeling too hopeful...very disappointed...

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
I did as others suggested and cut the amount of butter in half. Also, I used 2 bags of Orville Redenbacher's movie theater butter popcorn. The caramel was a little tough to work with at first, but in the end the popcorn turned out great!

Nat's Buttery Cashew Crunch

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
This is a GREAT recipe. The only thing I did differently was increase the amount of cashews because it seemed like there was too much liquid in relation to the amount of nuts. In any case, it turned out awesome, and everybody I've made it for has raved about it! This stuff is like something you find in a gourmet shop. It's sinfully delicious and highly addictive!
