Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
i haven't made something like this in a long time. i really enjoyed it and my picky 7yr old liked it (my toddler wouldn't try it) anyway yes its a bit bland but its one of those "adapt to taste" recipe. I'd saute some onions but i know my kids wouldn't eat it if they saw them in their food. so i added onion powder and a bit of garlic powder and a bit more salt. I used fat free milk around 1 3/4 cups just got it to the right consistency and left out the worcestershire..never liked the stuff

Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
I made this recipe with butter flavored shortening...the dough was really crumbly. Idk if anyone else had that problem. I made half the recipe and got 18 cookies. I did slightly flatten the balls before i baked them.. They turned out nice. Also have anyone else notice that most of the snickerdoodle recipes on here are exactly the same? Snickerdoodles 1, 2 (have half the salt but still) 4, and 5. snickerdoodles 3 uses butter and mrs. siggs uses half butter half shortening..

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Well everybody who tried these babies loved them. me not so much. idk why. The dough is very soft, even after sitting in the frigde. I had to let the baked cookies sit in the frigde so i could take them out of the pan. they fell apart in my hands. So not sure if i'll make them again for myself, but i know everyone else will be happy if i did.

Mujaddara Arabic Lentil Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
My bf and I really enjoyed this dish. I did have to add extra water to get the rice and lentils to finish cooking and i cooked the onions longer. Overall very easy, perfectly spiced, dish to make. Will make again. Thanks for the recipe! Also leftovers are great in taco's

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
i really enjoyed this. I slightly changed it. I only had 3 tortillas left and used almost the whole can of beans for two layers. I didn't bother with the onions and didn't measure out the salsa of the cheese. Very good very cheap meal. Will make this again. Its just as good (if not better) then the meat version

Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
i used a pillsbury french bread roll in the refrigerator section, which cut the cooking time by 15-20mins. My family really liked this esp. my picky toddler. The italian seasoning was too much for my bf and I. i'll be making it without any next time. thanks for the good, fast, recipe!

Apricot Baked Ham

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
this recipe gave me a wonderful idea. To use pineapple preserves instead of the apricot, i did use less dry mustard, but it was the best ham i ever made. It wasn't too sweet or salty just wonderful flavor.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
i found the dough to be a pain. I used shortening (butter flavored)and added everything as stated in the directions. I made a half batch. I don't need to bother telling anyone that the amount is off. The dough was like play doh but it wouldn't hold the m&m's I litterally kept having to squish them in and kept shoving them back on. I used mini m&m's so you'd think that would be easier to stay in the dough. Also the cookies don't have too much flavor(i think this is where the butter or margerine would be better) and the dough didn't spread at all. so i have small chubby cookies.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
ok, i baked these brownies i used a 8x8 pan since that's what i have, the batter is pretty thick, i did add some mini m&m's to it which made it colorful. It baked 30 mins the edges were dark, i did check at 25 mins but the middle was way to raw. I let them cool in a pan then i cut them and wrapped them up. I was worried about the middle was gooey and the edges were hard. but after a few hours everything set up well the edges softened and the middle firmed. I used and off brand pb that i needed to use up. I tasted the pb flavor but my bf didn't but he really loved the flavor anyway.

not bad. I scaled the recipe down and used less milk and added a bit of honey instead of sugar.
