Strawberry Syrup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
i made this with splenda it turned out good. It did take longer to get thicker and i refigerated the syrup over night before using. I used less sugar. I like 1/2 would be great, i used a scant 3/4 cups and it was pretty sweet. I will make this again.

Pumpkin Pie Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
these were OK, i cut the recipe in half but accidently added the full amount of spices and salt. I like spicy so that wasn't a problem. The pumpkin never quite firmed up. probably wouldn't make again.

Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
kinda a 3 1/2 star. well to be honest my bf isn't a tomato fan so of course he didn't care for the taste of this soup. I thought the soup tasted fine and really happy i kept in the green peppers. it gives the soup a nice flavor without the peppers it would have been really bland. We have lost a few lbs with this soup. so it does its job.

Impossible Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
I wanted to rate the tip from betsy, to try using only 1/2 can of milk .. It was perfect. I use a slightly different recipe so i can't really rate this one. I used fresh pumpkin ( make sure you strain it in a sieve gets rid of alot of excess water) I all used splenda, 1/2 cup of baking mix (which i made from this site) and 2tbs of melted margerine. 1tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp of salt, ginger, nutmeg, and 1/4tsp cloves. 2tsp vanilla (opt) I beat the pumpkin and sugar then add the eggs and vanilla, spices. mix in the baking mix and slowly added the milk till i get the right consistency. baked as directed.

Maraschino Mini Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
I honestly didn't care for these. The batter was thick and sticky, like a biscuit dough. The are more cake-like, but they taste very floury. or maybe it needs more sugar or a glaze on top. idk. the only change i made was I used choc chips insted of white...

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
i liked it. I used red delicious apples and the pie wasn't overly sweet. When i made the sauce it got really thick like a paste. I did add about 1tbs cinnamon and 1tsp of nutmeg. I put 3/4 of the sauce on the apples and the rest over the crust. i think next time I'll just put the all the sauce on the apples and do an egg wash on the crust.

German Spice Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
well I made a small batch of this recipe to try it out. I couldn't get the dough to blend together. I had to add some water to incorperate everything. They had a rough, chewy texture (maybe because of the water) . The cookies were Okay dunked with coffee and tea. They didn't improve the next day.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
to be honest i didn't really care for this soup. It wasn't bad it needed some spice tweaking, but after blending it alltogher tasted like salsa.. I do think however mixing this soup up and putting it in a crockpot with velveeta it would make an awesome chip dip
