Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2011
I think I cooked the salmon too long, turned out a little bit dry. There didn't seem to be enough sauce even though I used a little bit less than 2 pounds of salmon, and the full amount of sauce (recipe calls for 3 pounds of salmon.) Not very spicy, but good. I liked it.

This was good and pretty simple. My teenage kids liked it. Not exactly healthy, but good. Tastes like thanksgiving kind of.

Homemade Tomato Sauce I

This came out well, nice texture and fresh taste. Needed seasoning though, kind of bland and a little bit tart.

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
The flavors in this recipe are good, I enjoyed it a lot. I don't recommend 20-25 minutes at 425 degrees though, since mine came out nearly burnt after 15 minutes. Maybe I used a different kind of dough. Just keep an eye on it!

Baked Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
Very fast and easy to make, and came out great. I didn't have feta, so used Parmesan. Probably a mistake, but wasn't bad. Surprised lemon wasn't necessary, but it really wasn't. Had a tough time pairing with wine due to fish/tomato/cheese combination. Went with an overly oaky chardonnay which didn't work too well. Really good with fresh baguette and butter. Great recipe!

California Kabobs

Needs a little more salt. Marinated for about 3 hours, meat was very tender and flavorful.

Fresh Asparagus Soup

Really creamy, smooth, buttery, and, oh yeah asparagus. Followed the recipe exactly and really liked it. The parmesan really works well. Paired nicely with sauvignon blanc. thanks for this one.

Robin's Quinoa with Mushrooms and Spinach

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
I used low sodium chicken broth, and not a lot of salt, so it came out a little bit bland, but probably better for me. The goat cheese helped with the flavor. Portion sizes are big, I made 3 servings and it was way more than enough as a side dish.
