Italian Sausage Soup

Only change I made was to throw a little red wine in - just because I had a bottle open. Whole family loved it, even my child who hates beans of any kind.

really yummy! used steel cut oats and yogurt with just a splash of skim milk. also had both my strawberries and banana frozen. kids love this as an after-school snack

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Fabulous! Family chowed a double batch down. I added two cups of water as it was a bit too salty for me and one cup of chicken stock. I did use the beer as I really like to cook with it. Also increased the chicken and cut it into chunks before I cooked it.

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

Another hit with the hubby & kids! Used pre-cooked, frozen chicken and subbed 1/2 cup of half & half & the rest skim milk because it was what I had. Delicious! This will for sure make a return in my rotation.

Potato Squash Casserole

Good flavor and thought I followed the recipe, but the potatoes and squash were not cooked through when I took them out of the oven. I did also cook the sausage first. Kept it in the over for another hour or so and then it was good.

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

My hubby got a second helping! Usually when I try something new, he's not a big fan. But this he seemed to really enjoy. I did double the amount of potatoes and subbed beef broth for the red wine as I was out. Otherwise, made it as stated and it was a hit.

Applesauce Bread

Very good bread. I love baking 'non-yeast' breads through the fall and this one will stay on my good list. I did add a left-over apple chopped up & it added a nice texture. It went over really well with my girls kindergarten class. I did omit the raisins and walnuts since I'm not a big fan. It was very moist and kept well in the fridge.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Fabulous & so easy! The only addition I made was a few shakes of cinnamon. Bake it a bit longer if using frozen fruit.
