Grandma's Peach French Toast
Just made this for Easter and took most suggestions, i.e. adding more eggs and milk. However, one caveat: DO NOT ADD blueberries! I used peaches and added blueberries which was a huge mistake. It turns everything gray and very unappetizing when cooked! No one wanted to eat it until I told them what it was. The taste was delicious, but it looks gross. Stick with peaches or strawberries, but not blueberries! Also, despite the fact that I added 1 c. milk and dredged the bread, I still thought it was a little dry in place. I think the fruit on top would have been better, as someone suggested.

Baby BLT
After reading many reviews, I followed the advice of making the filling and hollowing out the tomatoes the day before. Very helpful. I found a grapefruit knife to be the perfect tool for hollowing out a tomato without tearing it and a zip lock baggie perfect for piping it in. I used sour cream instead of the cream cheese (actually a non-dairy version due to lactose intolerance , and it was still great. It gave it a lighter texture, I think. Everyone loved them and I would make them again. Also, they are different so no one had seen them before!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches
My family loves pulled pork, especially the NC vinegar version. I made this just as suggested, with Baby Rays sauce, which I have never used before. Had unexpected company and served it for them. Everyone loved it, and all were BBQ lovers. the beauty is that it is so simple you cannot go wrong. I will make this again, and probably not even bother to try to improve it! Loved it as it was!
