Creamy Artichoke Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
This recipe was fantastic! Very easy to make and it was delicious. I made a recipe for 4 and I would use about 3/4 of the artichoke liquid next time. Awesome.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
These are truly the best chocolate chip I have ever had and very easy to make. I used a cookie scoop and got 48 from one recipe and ate a dozen before dinner because they were so good. I did change it by using only 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and it was perfect.

Best Friend Doggie Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2012
I made this recipe today and added 1/2 cup of peanut butter and then a little more water until the dough formed. The dogs love them but now I have to secure the biscuit jar because one of the cats loved the old biscuits and always wants one when I give the dogs a treat and often would help himself. He obviously doesn't like peanut butter because I found what was left to about 5 or 6 all broken up but not eaten and he was going back for more; obviously looking for the old dog biscuits. Will have to find a recipe for cats now.

Oatmeal Date Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
Very easy to make and they tasted great. I think the next time I will add 1 cup of chopped walnuts because I do like walnuts. Thanks for the recipe! I gave my neighbor a dozen and he liked them too.

Creamy Mushroom Macaroni

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
Great and easy recipe to make. The only thing I found it that it was dry so next time I will add 1 cup of milk which should solve that issue. The one thing I changed was that I used Pepper Jack cheese and it gave it a nice, slightly sharp taste that was wonderful. I made this for a senior luncheon and everyone loved it.

Garlic and Herb Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
Oh, my, this is truly the best bread I believe I have ever tasted. I eliminated the sugar and powdered milk, everything else was the same. In the future I will add maybe 1 teaspoon of garlic. I had this with pasta tonight and it was wonderful!!!! The house smelled so good while it was baking that I could hardly wait for it to be done. I used the light white bread setting on the bread machine and it was perfect for texture and the crust was just right. I use this setting for french bread too because my machine makes the french bread crust too crusty.

Baked Yam and Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
This was fantastic!!!! I heeded the advice of others and decided to use both cheeses on each layer with mozzarella on the yams and pepper jack on the white potatoes. I also sliced the white potatoes thinner than the yams. The flavor was absolutely wonderful and actually reminded me of scalloped potatoes. Will definitely make this again.

Butternut Squash Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
Great recipe. I didn't have blue cheese so I used mozzarella. I think the next time I will either use blue as recommended or pepper jack. The mozzarella didn't have enough bite in it but it was a great recipe and so much better than just baking it which I am used to. Great change of pace.

Sugarless Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
I used 1/2 C water plus 1/2 C orange juice, butter instead of margarine and omitted the prunes and added the nutmeg and cinnamon. Although I did like the taste it was too cake like to me. I was expecting a firmer bar.

Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
Loved it. The only thing I did different was I left the corn out because I don't particularly like it in chili and I added vegetarian crumbles (like ground beef) and substituted green chilies for the jalapeno pepper because I didn't have any in stock right now. I topped it with shredded Monteray Jack cheese, chopped onion and sour cream and served it with fresh baked French Bread and it was great. Thanks for the recipe!

Love it. I make this often and always add some parmesan cheese on top. Very good with the Herb Bread toasted.

Noodles Romanoff II

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2013
I wanted to make something quick and easy and selected this one. I was out of chives so I used parsley and I like to spice things up a bit so I added about 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes. Next time I would like to use chives and warm the sour cream and cheese mixture up before adding the noodles. I liked it overall. Nice and quick to make.

Best Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2013
The only change I did was use honey instead of sugar and only used 1/3 cup. It was fantastic! I am making this for a luncheon this week; can hardly wait for the reviews!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
Loved it! I used less than a 1/2 of raw sugar and used evaporated milk as someone else suggested. I also added a dash of cinnamon and used Redi Whip instead of Cool Whip because I like real cream.

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
I loved this! I followed everything except I used French Vanilla pudding and used Rediwhip (real cream) in lieu of the type made with vegetable oil. I let the graham crackers sit for about 10 minutes and they stayed in place to easily frost.

Spinach Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
Hmmm, very good! I did tweak it a bit with other reviews. I used less butter, sauted fresh spinach, onions, garlic and mushrooms. I added a hot portugal pepper and red peppers flakes. I only had about 4 oz of mozzarella so I added grated swiss cheese for the rest and topped with Parmesan after cooking. Will be making this one a lot I suspect, easy to make and delicious.

Butternut Squash Gratin

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2014
I was looking for a different recipe for squash and used this one. It was very good but I think it needs a little something for more flavor. I think the next time I make it I will try adding some nutmeg
