New recipes for the week of July 8, 2011
Jul. 8, 2011 2:54 pm

Last week’s most popular new recipe was Surprise Inside Independence Cake. Way to go beachcook623!

Celebrate Bastille day with one of our newest recipes. Gil's Brioche French Toast is a deliciously decadent breakfast of eggy French toast topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Continue the sweet theme at dinner with French Orange Poached Pears (Poire Avec Orange).

Other notable recipes this week include Bangin' Smokey Beef Brisket, a smoke-marinated brisket slow roasted to perfection in the oven. Gluten Free Pastry will come in handy for those wishing to avoid gluten in their diet. This pastry can be used to make a perfect pie.

The health authorities want us to eat our vegetables and get our roughage. An excellent source of such roughage are greens such as kale, collard, or mustard. But, It’s hard to get people to eat their greens, many people simply don’t like them no matter how they’re cooked. We suspect this might be due to a lack of bacon fat and not knowing The RIGHT WAY To Cook Greens! So, fetch yourself a mess-o-greens, a hunk-o-pork, and get to cooking!

About Me is the world’s largest food site created entirely from contributions from talented home cooks. Allrecipes was first introduced in 1997 by five college students who loved cookies and had the early vision the web would be a fantastic place for people to find and share everyday food ideas. Twelve years later, is home to an amazing community where millions of recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, and blog postings spanning all types of ingredients, dish types, occasions and cooking styles are viewed and shared daily. Allrecipes grows every day as the community continues to share new ideas and experiences. Along with the original site, Allrecipes now has communities for home cooks in Australia/NZ, China, France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. (Check them out! You’ll find links at the very bottom of this page.) For cooks on the go, Allrecipes is available free on the iPhone via the Dinner Spinner app, and web enabled phones at
