Dear Allrecipes Community,

Our thoughts are with all of the people and their families impacted by the tragic earthquake and tsunami which hit Japan on Friday.

The American Red Cross is offering assistance to the Japanese Red Cross following Friday's earthquake and resulting Tsunami.

Please help the American Red Cross help those affected by this disaster by donating to their Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Fund.

The Red Cross has supplied two easy ways to donate:
  • Go to their website, www.redcross.org, and select Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami (or click here)
  • Text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation

Every little bit helps!

Thank you,
The Allrecipes.com team

It is great that you posted this link. There really isn't much information on how to help like there was with Haiti. These poor people do indeed need all our help.

Yes, thank you for posting this. This is the first I've heard about the texting. I know that it was set up like this for Haiti too and was enormously successful.
