Hi Allrecipeeps!

We just wanted to take a moment to say a big THANK YOU to all of you, our fabulous community of home cooks. I am new to blogging so bear with me. One desire is to get my daughter to join with me so we can connect in this forum. She just informed me that she will be staying in New Zealand permanently. She has been there 1.5 years with husband & my 2 grandsons (12 & 9). Needless to say, this will take getting used to as they lived 5 minutes up the street from me and hubby. She loves to cook as I do so this site and blog may provide some comfort. I have a request: I would like to purchase a stick/wand blender and not sure which is the best. Any recommendations ? Thanx so much.

I too love this site. When i need a recipe all I have to do is search this site and find just what I need. Years ago I had a recipe for a tuna roll using bisquick. I have since then lost the recipe. My son loved it and asked for it just recently. Is there any way you may have this recipe? It had a cheese sauce to pour over it using bisquick and the thickening agent. Thank you for all your help and wonderful recipes over the years.

About Me
Allrecipes.com is the world’s largest food site created entirely from contributions from talented home cooks. Allrecipes was first introduced in 1997 by five college students who loved cookies and had the early vision the web would be a fantastic place for people to find and share everyday food ideas. Twelve years later, Allrecipes.com is home to an amazing community where millions of recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, and blog postings spanning all types of ingredients, dish types, occasions and cooking styles are viewed and shared daily. Allrecipes grows every day as the community continues to share new ideas and experiences. Along with the original site, Allrecipes now has communities for home cooks in Australia/NZ, China, France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. (Check them out! You’ll find links at the very bottom of this page.) For cooks on the go, Allrecipes is available free on the iPhone via the Allrecipes.com Dinner Spinner app, and web enabled phones at m.allrecipes.com.
My favorite things to cook
Everything and anything! Allrecipes community is an amazing resource for discovering all types of dishes and treats
My favorite family cooking traditions
All of them! How could anyone choose? All year long our community is cooking and celebrating seasonal holidays and special family occasions. Even the dinners we all have to get on the table every night can be a cherished tradition—or will seem so once the kids are grown.
My cooking triumphs
The millions of recipe choices, the tips and advice, the support and encouragement to try new things or rediscover old favorites make using this site a constant joy.
My cooking tragedies
Who doesn’t have these? Too many to tell really, but from each disaster there’s something to learn and laugh about. Cooking is meant to be an adventure!
