Congratulations Sarah-May!!! =) how awesome is this......
Oct. 18, 2010 3:45 pm
So how does it work? Make a recipe that is photo-less from the list and how is a winner chosen?

Cozycook made the Butterscotch buns from the first list and posted a photo, two actually. Does that mean she didn't make the drawing?!
Oct. 18, 2010 5:12 pm
The third blog back MSC, make and photo the faceless recipe and they are just doing a random drawing, your name goes in for each one you do and they draw every two weeks.

Cozy - I did have you on for the butterscotch buns!! Sorry about the oversight on draft 1 of the blog - I have updated. :)

Nooney, these are the oldest recipes without photos :) I started at the back! Maybe I'll mix it up for Round 3, if that means you'll be able to participate. :)

Thank you so much Elizabeth! I was so excited when I saw this that I forgot to say thanks :)
Oct. 18, 2010 6:27 pm
Congratulations Sarah-May. I love this idea Elizabeth! Let's get some photos on those poor faceless recipes. Do we need to "declare" somewhere which recipe we choose or just make and post a photo?
Oct. 18, 2010 6:42 pm
Congrats Sarah-May! Elizabeth, I think you would attract many more people if you included other types of recipes. Some people are intimidated by baking or just don't enjoy it but are wonderful cooks. :)

Happy Dance Sarah May! Congrats:)

I'm in agreement. I like baking, but I would love to see some sides, vegetables or something of the like. I'll participate in Round 3 if there are some other options.

I would love to see the picture Sarah May took. What recipe?
Oct. 19, 2010 8:39 am
Congrats to a fellow Canuck! :) Good job Sarah-May! Now...about that list of poor, faceless recipes....I just read through a few of them and I can see why they have remained faceless!!! Some of them are so oddball and the few people that have made them have not left kind reviews! (not that I think they are mean reviews, just that the recipe did'nt work as written for them), I looked at 3 of them and there are fundamental flaws in all of them that would make for a disaster when baked and a total waste of ingredients, time and energy.....I am tempted to make the Strawberry-Rhubarb muffins with alterations that I know would make them a smashing success....but why do that for a photo as it would not be representative of the original recipe....what to do...what to do....

Thanks everybody :), Karen S. I made Molasses Oat Bran Bread:__ Grandma Emma's Spice Loaf:__

Congrats Sarah-May! It was fun to make a recipe needing a face plus I found a good recipe. Gitano ... A photo with minor changes I feel would be ok. I see many photos and match them up to the review and see that people made changes and they are cover photos too. I know what you mean by sticking to the original but tweaking is done all the time and usually is noted in the review. If no one goes for the one you are thinking about making ... I'm sure the photo would be appreciated.

I just made the Jam Filled Buns (misnomer, really - they're biscuits). They're very tasty.

About Me is the world’s largest food site created entirely from contributions from talented home cooks. Allrecipes was first introduced in 1997 by five college students who loved cookies and had the early vision the web would be a fantastic place for people to find and share everyday food ideas. Twelve years later, is home to an amazing community where millions of recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, and blog postings spanning all types of ingredients, dish types, occasions and cooking styles are viewed and shared daily. Allrecipes grows every day as the community continues to share new ideas and experiences. Along with the original site, Allrecipes now has communities for home cooks in Australia/NZ, China, France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. (Check them out! You’ll find links at the very bottom of this page.) For cooks on the go, Allrecipes is available free on the iPhone via the Dinner Spinner app, and web enabled phones at
My favorite things to cook
Everything and anything! Allrecipes community is an amazing resource for discovering all types of dishes and treats
My favorite family cooking traditions

My cooking triumphs
The millions of recipe choices, the tips and advice, the support and encouragement to try new things or rediscover old favorites make using this site a constant joy.
My cooking tragedies
Who doesn’t have these? Too many to tell really, but from each disaster there’s something to learn and laugh about. Cooking is meant to be an adventure!
