Last week’s most popular new recipe was Kevin's Sea Shells. Way to go Kevin!

Pumpkin-gutting time is nearly upon us. One of the hottest searches on our site during the month of October is for pumpkin seed recipes. Spiced Maple Pumpkin Seeds joins our already robust selection of pumpkin seed recipes, offering the baked-in flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup.

Speaking of baked, Pork Apple Meatballs are mushroom- and carrot-packed orange meatballs baked in a maple syrup and applesauce sauce. Apple Cider Stew is a savory beef stew containing -- you guessed it -- apple cider along with chopped apples, onion, and thyme.

Who are we really fooling? The kids aren’t going to eat Brussels sprouts. So you might as well make something the adults will love: Brussels Sprouts in a Sherry Bacon Cream Sauce. If you don’t like Brussels sprouts, you’re about to. For the kids, we have a version of the iCarly-inspired Spaghetti Tacos.

OK it is Sunday evening and I decided to stay in and bake. So I am trying to make zuccinni bread and I have everything mix except the zuccinni. It doesn't tell me what to do with the zuccinni - like how do I cut it or do I cook it first. Help - lol

Help! Why did my cookies come out flat? My molasses cookies came out flat and disappointing. (I used an organic pastry flower -- soft whole wheat). What adjustment can be made to save the rest of the dough? Or, toss and use all-purpose for next batch?

About Me is the world’s largest food site created entirely from contributions from talented home cooks. Allrecipes was first introduced in 1997 by five college students who loved cookies and had the early vision the web would be a fantastic place for people to find and share everyday food ideas. Twelve years later, is home to an amazing community where millions of recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, and blog postings spanning all types of ingredients, dish types, occasions and cooking styles are viewed and shared daily. Allrecipes grows every day as the community continues to share new ideas and experiences. Along with the original site, Allrecipes now has communities for home cooks in Australia/NZ, China, France, Germany, and the UK/Ireland. (Check them out! You’ll find links at the very bottom of this page.) For cooks on the go, Allrecipes is available free on the iPhone via the Dinner Spinner app, and web enabled phones at
My favorite things to cook
Everything and anything! Allrecipes community is an amazing resource for discovering all types of dishes and treats
My favorite family cooking traditions
All of them! How could anyone choose? All year long our community is cooking and celebrating seasonal holidays and special family occasions. Even the dinners we all have to get on the table every night can be a cherished tradition—or will seem so once the kids are grown.
My cooking triumphs
The millions of recipe choices, the tips and advice, the support and encouragement to try new things or rediscover old favorites make using this site a constant joy.
My cooking tragedies
Who doesn’t have these? Too many to tell really, but from each disaster there’s something to learn and laugh about. Cooking is meant to be an adventure!
